So, this morning I was invited to join the Google Glass Explorer Program. Curious to know if anyone has Glass and how they feel about it? The cost is $1,500.00 so it's pretty steep. I thought it might be cool to wear around Vegas for my upcoming trip. Of course, I know I can't wear it in the casino but around the strip might be cool to get some good shots.

I look at them the same way i do when i see news stories about cars that drive themselves. Seems that they do all sorts of research into them for some reason yet i have ever met anyone who actually wanted a car that drives itself.

Is there actually a large group of people who want the internet streamed through their glasses? Seems like an odd thing to want but to each his own I guess.

You and I have very different definitions of the word, “cool”.

I'm Canadian so I'm not eligible for the Glass program, but I like the idea and concept.

20 years time and glass, or some variant, will be as ubiquitous as cell phones are now.

While the user may find them cool they make others uncomfortable. One of my class groups did an interesting class project and found that people wearing the glasses were perceived negatively by others.

If you don't care what others think you may love it.

The biggest risk in wearing Google Glass is getting punched in the face for looking like a tool.

Some chick claimed to have been attacked in San Francisco for trying to wear these in a bar.

I saw a demo of these. I would never buy them. They track everywhere you go and everything you see all the time. Plus I don't need a computer attached to my eyes.

Very cool concept once it's fully developed. Would love to try a pair, have absolutely no interest in owning them. Maybe in 3-5 years.
The fact is however, that if you carry a smartphone, you are pretty much tracked all the time anyway. It's getting harder and harder to stay "off the grid".
