We also live in the UK. Our shortest trips have been two weeks. Recently they have stretched to between six and eight weeks.

Next trip is 53 days, autumn trip is 51 days. My SO would happily live there most of the year. I think he'd even cope with the height of summer. I couldn't and wouldn't, so we will continue with or twice yearly marathons.

Anything longer than 5 days... I would probably be found dead in a gutter some where.

It depends big time on your budget if you come in from the UK.

We did 5 nights, next summer I plan on doing 6 - 7 nights. Not sure I could go longer than 7-8 nights though.

I find 6 nights from the UK is my sweet spot. Once you have done a few long haul flights jetlag isn't really much of an issue I found. You just get used to it.

On my last trip we stayed for 6 days. It was a really long time but I had 2 vegas virgins so we actually didn't accomplish everything that we wanted to.

My longest is coming mid Apr. 10 days and money management will be priority #1.

I envy you UK folks that can come out and stay for a month or longer. How do you handle the room situation? Do you bounce around, using up all the various free room offers or bite the bullet and pay?

Somewhere in my first handful of Vegas trips ---
    I stayed 10 or 11 days.
I split between Sahara + The STRAT --- not paying
very much because of Comp'd rooms.
    *
I remember one thing about that trip.
I walked up the strip from Sahara to MBay + back.
I walked thru EVERY casino --- looking around everywhere.
When I got back from that walk I had to lay in bed !
My legs were SO SORE.......and I was a golf caddy in those days !!!

Our longest was 5 days. I'm content with 3-4.

When we have the time I would like to fly to Vegas then drive to Los Angeles, Califoria for a few days.

We usually stay 7-10 days and go around once a year. One time we only stayed 3 days because we won a trip to the ACMAs that year and we had to get back home for a previously scheduled trip elsewhere. We got home and turned around and left again the next day.

The longest we've stayed is 17 days a few years back. We were there through Christmas and New Years. It was awesome.

We don't get free rooms, we hardly gamble at all to be honest, just a few $'s to get a "free" drink or two from time to time.

I just hunt for the bargains and move around here and there.

    7 nights.

First 10 night trip in July coming up.

After 7 days, I always feel I could be there for another few days. Ten days is probably the sweet spot for me.

WOW, i have an attachment to my home & things so i could not be away from home that long.

My ideal on trips a long ways from home is 10 days. The weather in floriday made us happy we were going home to sun. Only 1.5 days of sun when we were there during hurricane Ike (inland) so 10 days felt long at the end.

We are going to vegas for 8 this time and i could totally do more.

13 Days is my record between August 21-September 2, 2013. My average trip is just over 6 days, but most trips were either 4-5 days or 7-10 days.

I could see staying for an extended trip in the winter when I'm retired (2-4 months), but I would branch out of Vegas for extended side trips into CA, UT, AZ and NV beyond Las Vegas.

My trips have extended in length over the past few years, mainly due to the fact that I hate flying w/ the TSA and other nonsense involved, and I prefer to have less trips (to save on costs and flying time) than the more frequent extended weekend trips I took in the past. I've also taken advantage of Vegas being a home base to trips through Western NPs, of which several are within a days drive of Vegas.

My minimum that I prefer is 5 nights. That allows for a day right in the middle where I can simply do nothing, just relax and not feel bad about it. Trips shorter than that I feel I don't want to waste anytime.

Longest will be my upcoming trip at 10 nights. I'll see when I get back if I enjoy it or not :) Past years this trip has been 7 nights and it has been great.

We normally go for 14 nights, but the next trip in May is 15 nights so we are there for 3 Fridays. Unfortunately this trip we will be having 2 connections as the domestic UK then a non-stop to Vegas came in at over £900 ($1530) each. It is actually costing us more for the 2 connections than most people pay for a non-stop from London as we live in the north of Scotland.

We always hotel hop and each move feels like a different vacation as the hotel is fairly important to us.

Eating out is also important and we always run out of days before we have visited every restaurants we'd like to.

Got back two weeks ago from our longest stay of 5 nights. We've made several 3 night stays and these never seemed long enough. I'm still working on learning how to pace myself with the booze...any longer of a trip and I'll have to visit Betty Ford.

Coming from germany, I always stay for 14 nights (twice a year)... and it's always too short.

Vegas is worth almost everything... but not a 15 hrs. journey for just a couple of days. :peace:
