I love the pancakes at DuPar's. Would you call DuPar's pancakes one of the best in Vegas? Are there any other entrees that you enjoy at DuPar's?

I stumbled upon DuPar's on my last trip. I had a trip with my wife, a friend and my brother in law and his wife. They left a day earlier, so the last day was just me and the wife hanging out. We decided to take the deuce downtown, it was our first time downtown.

We walked around Fremont Street for a while, stopping to get drinks here and there. We got really hungry and happened to walk through the casino and ended up at DuPar's. I had the chicken fried steak with hash browns. I did not know about the famous pancakes until after our trip. The food was really good, the service was slow and unattentive, but i wasn't too picky about that. I just wanted good food and they delivered.

I've not had the pancakes at Dupar's, but we have eaten there a couple of times. In my opinion, the restaurant that preceded Dupar's (can't think of its name right now, as soon as I hit the submit button it will come to me) was much better, both the food and the service. We used to always eat there once or twice each trip. Now, we may occasionally eat at Dupar's. We just haven't had much to rave about there.

I do love the pancakes but I enjoy the french toast even more!

Their prime rib is usually pretty excellent as well.

Only bad thing ive had was some pear pie the reason for that was the pears were not ripe. I imagine if they were it would have been a good dessert.

They are some of the best pancakes I have had, they are a bit pricey for breakfast but very good. Last time we were in there, it was pretty busy but food was out to us pretty quick. I havent ate lunch or dinner there, as there are just so many places I like to eat Downtown, its not one I usually think of except for breakfast.

DuPar's makes an excellent corned beef hash. I still think of it. And their pancakes are quite delish!

However, the VERY best pancakes I have ever had in Vegas were the sweet cream pancakes at Black Bear Diner. During one trip, I had breakfast there 3 days in a row. Yeah, they are that good!

I'm a crazy person when it comes to pancakes. These are some of the best I've had. The only lesson I learned is I should have ordered the short stack. I'm a pretty big eater, and the tall stack nearly did me in. WAY TO MUCH.

My companion ate a burger there and thought it was delicious as well. The service was......not good. But that usually doesn't phase me if the food rocks.

    Highly Recommended.....especially the p-cakes.

Yes... Dupar's has outstanding pancakes. So does EAT downtown. I've eaten at Black Bear, love the place but haven't had pancakes there. I too liked the corned beef hash at Dupar's, it was great!

Sweet cream pancakes?! Sounds DELICIOUS. I'll have to look up Black Bear Diner and check it out when I'm in town next week.

I tried DuPar's pancakes on my last solo trip (Nov 2013) and they were tasty though not out-of-this-world, in my opinion. But I admit that I'm no pancake connoisseur. (Or any type of connoisseur for that matter...)

What do you love about them? Have you had pancakes at other places? What were they like?

We had the pancakes on our last visit in November at Dupars and I assume I am a rarity of some sort since I was not "wowed" by the pancakes at all. I found them to be average at best. My favorite pancakes were easily at BabyStacks Cafe which is a car ride from the strip or downtown. I had Banana Cream stack, while my wife had the Red Velvet pancakes...both were spectacular.

I have also heard great things about the pancakes at the El Cortez Cafe...might try those on our next trip.

I had them for the first time last July and they were pretty tasty. Ordered too large of an order, but I thought the quality was good.

The texture, syrup and hot butter. I have had pancakes at four queen magnolias, el cortez, wynn terrace, hash house, peppermill. Dupars easily beats them all. None of them come close.

I loved the Bay City Diner. I am a counter person and they had a long counter as well as dining rooms. They had delicious meals, daily specials, good service and reasonable prices. They always seemed busy and both service and good food were consistent. I don't know why they ended the best thing GG had going for it. Was it the pancakes? "If I ain't broke, don't fix it"........is what we say here!
