Looks like there are 3 seafood buffets downtown. MSS, Fremont, and Golden Nugget.

Which one is better or would you recommend? They're all around the same price - $23

Any comments on any of the 3? I always see the MSS and Fremont mentioned. But have not seen any on the Golden Nugget.

I like to eat clams, hot crab legs, cooked oysters, mussels.

My favorite is the Freemont. They cater to orientials so they have good seafood. But the seafood buffet is only 2 nites a week Tuesday and Friday I think. But IMO it's the best.

Yes, the Fremont trumps the other two.

Seafood, shrimp boiled and peeled or unpeeled, snow crabs, king crab legs and claws. Just about anything you can ask for. Crab salad, shrimp salad..
Fried shrimp, stuffed crab, all kinds of soups etc..
I mainly eat the peeled boiled shrimp and king grab claws, wee I might
    have some salad or desert..

Don't foget the oysters, both raw and cooked.
Fremont also serves up mahi-mahi, fried clams, calamari (I think), salmon (who doesn't) and another fish dish or two.

Just to clarify no downtown buffet has king crab. All the legs are snow crab even the claws.

One plus for Fremont is their crab legs are split.

I must try the Fremont seafood buffet again. I've only been once and unfortunately my experience was less than stellar.

The crab legs offered at that time was skinny and spindly. Although there were huge mounds of the delicacy, it was a lotta work to eat, lol! I don't recall the legs being pre-split. The other seafood offerings were decent.

Maybe at that time desirable crab legs were short on supply. Because it's a regulated fishing industry supplies can be strained I would suspect.

I'm all for trying it again. The other Fremont buffet nights are great.

The crab legs at the Fremont are adequate, but they will not be what you find at the Wynn and Bellagio buffets.
Here is the strategy that I follow when eating Fremont buffet crab legs: I pile up a plateful and pick all the meat out and put in a bowl. Then, I ask for a cup of hot water and pour it over the crab meat to dilute some of the salt out of the crab and re-heat the meat.
Next step it to take the meat out of the hot water and dip it into butter. Finally, it can be cosumed.

Years ago I wanted hot Crab Claws (Fremont) and real Butter to go on them so before my next trip
I bought one of those votive candle heating dishes
and put pats of butter and then the Crab meat in the butter warmer and that was perfect....Hot Crab with Real Butter "The Only way To fly"
(they might have real drawn butter now but they didn't then)
