So, I have an upcoming trip and the first two nights are already booked (online, via BConnectedOnline.com) at The Orleans, via an offer. I have a confirmation number and all is good with that. But I need a different hotel for the next 3 nights and I thought I'd take a look at one of the downtown Boyd properties.

I see in my offers online that I have an offer for Main Street Station. I tried to book it and seem to get all the way through but then, as soon as I submit it, it tells me "Offer Template Error" and it doesn't go through. I read the fine print of the offer and it says that back-to-back stays using these offers at the other downtown Boyd properties are NOT allowed, but it makes no mention of other Vegas-area Boyd properties, like The Orleans.

    So, I'm wondering if...

    1) Has anyone had success in booking back-to-back offers with this website for Vegas properties in other areas?

    2) Do you think I'd have better luck just calling MSS Reservations?

    Thanks for any replies.

They're pretty strict about booking back-to-back offers at the SAME property under the SAME name, but don't seem to care if they're for DIFFERENT properties, same name or not. Likewise, Ms. Gecko and I often book separate offers at the same property and tell them when checking in. It avoids having to change rooms, plus any food credits are good for the duration of our stay. Try giving MSS a call if their website won't cooperate.

Last September, we stayed 3 nites at the Orleans and then 4 nites at MSS. I thought the restriction was only for the same hotel. I booked both reservations on line since I lost my host at MSS.

We went Christmas and stayed 2 nights via offer at the Gold Coast, walked to the Enterprise on Flamingo and came back, loaded up and went to Orleans for 3 nights via another offer. Host added 1 night on the back end. and we had no problem with any paperwork / restrictions. When we booked we went to the homepage of my card and clicked on the offer....went to page that had "book this offer" and clicked on the dates. It was easy and no problem. Good luck.....

Going in May and am staying at Orleans 3 nights and moving to California for 3 nights. Booked 2 nights through the online offer and asked host to add first night as I arrive at 10:00 or so p.m. Had already booked Fri / Sat via on line offer @ California. It was no problem.....However he added my FIRST night and I did 2nd / 3rd and then 4th / 5th....and booked 6th night (Sunday) as it would be cheaper than weekend if I end up having to pay for the room. Confirmations came through e-mail ok.

    Update

Update: I decided to try a different offer on the BConnectedOnline.com site, still for MSS...

    - This offer doesn't include a $10.00 food credit.
    - The one I had booked for The Orleans included this credit.
    - The price was the same between the two MSS offers.

...and it worked. My guess is that there was some sort of technicality in "loading" multiple food credits on my card.

Anyway, I have confirmation codes for both hotels, so I think I'm all set at this point. Hope it'll go smooth!

Raisingoo: Glad you got things straightened out. Interestingly, I've never had food credits loaded onto my card. Rather, they tell me at check-in to simply charge meals to the room, and the credits are automatically deducted. It's always worked out fine.

An agent once told me booking separate properties back to back for bconnected is fine.

    Thanks for the replies.

Turtleman: I'm hesistant to charge meals to my room because I'm really not that big of a player. It's my understanding that you'd need to go see a host to review your play at check-out. Never did this (and I'm afraid to do so).

I really only play $3K-$4K coin-in per day (mostly quarter VP). Sometimes I might bump it up to dollar VP and sometimes I might sprinkle in slots and table games and poker. Hosts don't want to bother with small fishes like me.

Surprisingly enough, the offers I get are worth it to me...

The Orleans: two comped nights (even wekeends) plus $10 food credit
MSS: $26/night (weeknights), available to Sapphire members

So, I'm staying five nights in the future at $0/$0/$26/$26/$26 and I have no complaints at all about this.

In no way do you need a host for them to take off room charges. At the end of your stay, simply go to the players club desk(this works for any casino, not just boyd) and ask if they are able to take anything off your room charges. It is entirely possible that they say no, but I feel you should at least ask once.

Then on your next stay you will at least know if it is worth your time to go ask near the end of your trip.

Just don't be afraid to ask. Really the worst thing that can happen is they say no.

Fwiw, the "dining credit" at GoldCoast/Orleans/Sams all works the same way...
You charge your food to your room, and it automatically deducts it off.
When I do it, I usually end up losing like $1 or paying $1 because the buffet is only $9 or $11...
However, at MSS, you actually get a VOUCHER to take to the restaurant.
Also, strangely enough, my wife's offer is better than mine at MSS, but it's "technically" a lower offer (one letter code below mine; I get $25 free play, she gets $40 in food vouchers)

Years ago my wife stayed a couple nights in Tahoe, booked online through CET under my name but both of our cards were entered. No problem.
Before checking out of Tahoe we decided to head to Reno for a couple nights basically because she hit 5 Aces at PaiGow with a $5 side bet. $2K win. So called CET and got that arranged, again, my name but both of our cards.
2 Days later while sitting in the Circus Circus Reno parking garage, getting ready to head out, we decided we were having too much fun and didn't feel like going home yet. So, I again called CET to get another night. I was politely told:
"Sorry Mr. wpete, but 4 nights in a row is all you're allowed comped."
    "Darn". I said.
"Well, is Mrs wpete there with you?"
    "Why Yes, yes she is"
"No problemo, we'll just put the reservation in her name. You can stay up to an additional 4 days comped. Enjoy your stay".
"Wicked Pissah", I said. Or something like that.

But yeah, you should be able to work around the booking same property thing quite easily.
