The only stadium in the world to host:

MLB All Star Game, World Series, Super Bowl, Final Four. It was one of the most versatile stadiums ever built, it could be changed from a baseball stadium to a football stadium to a basketball stadium then polish off a weekend with a monster truck rally. I hated going to baseball games there, but it was actually a magical place baseball wise. I seen the Twins going into the bottom of the 9th down by a run or two, then see the opposing teams outfielders lose a pop fly in that white ceiling and the next thing you know the Twins have won a game.

Thank god, a truly horrible place to watch a baseball game, I'm a baseball fan and a big twins fan, but sometime in the early 90's I went to a game in the dome and decided I'm never coming back(no fun, no atmosphere, no reason to return). Never did, just love the new target field.

We saw one Brewers/Twins game there, but my lasting memory will always be the snow caving in the roof. 2 years ago iirc.?

I honestly didn't mind watching baseball there, until I moved to the KC area in 98 and went to Kauffman. Then I moved back in 2000 and went to several Twins games and thought what a dump. I went to Target Field last year for first time, and actually went back to KC for a Royals game in may. I still love Kauffman, yes, even more than Target Field.

NICE........here in WNY there is talk to build Da Bills a new stadium on maybe the waterfront....what a waste of prime waterfront that will be IF it happens. Meanwhile, 175 million is being spent to bring the Ralph up to NFL standards. Now if we only had a team that had NFL standards....LOL....but many think Da Bills will be moving to Toronto or LA in 7 years when they have a cheap buy out clause (24 Million) for that one year. Then they will be somebody else's $$$$$ problem.

Wasn't it at a Bills game this past season that drunk guy took a swan dive onto someone's neck? Yikes

YES......was sliding down a above railing in the upper deck several times until he fell off it and landed on someone's head down below.

I would say about 40-50% of Da Bills fans are drunk before the game even starts.

As once said "you can't fix stupid"

I assume the new football arena was built with mostly tax money. I had been hoping that somehow Minnesota was different from other states where politicians kowtow to big money team owners and voters support taxes for stadia, but not for things they need more.

Have seen baseball indoors, in Toronto, and agree that it doesn't have the feel of outdoor baseball. Had the game been played indoors, how would my Indians ever have beaten the Yankees in that 2007 midge playoff game?

New stadium is being built mainly with a $2 per pack of smokes and $2 per can of snuff tax increase. It's a joke that smokers have to pay for a billionaires stadium

Well, they were going to increase tax on vacationers through hotel and rental car tax, but then realized it was Minnesota. :poke:

Caught one game at the HomerDome, just missed seeing George Brett get #3000, in fact. Now anyone who is familiar with the late and never great Kingdome would say the Twin Cities had one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World in comparison!

Loved the Dome! Growing up there saw dozens of games a summer and spent my last two years there 2 miles from the stadium. Caught a game the last year the Twinkees played there.

I'll miss it and I know Joe Mauer does and will too.

Some of the casinos sell res cigs, but I am not sure if their prices went up. I do know for cheap smokes at the casino, they are way off brands. My question is when the stadiums paid off, will prices go down? Doubtful.
