What are your secrets for making sure you don't wake up feeling like death after a night of fun?
We usually try to eat something high protein around 3am or so and I'm certain that helps :drunk:

I drink at least 3 glasses of water before bed and take 2 aleve. I also drink gatorade as soon as I get up and take 2 more aleve. Seems to work.

Extensive threads on the boards here. Me and some others swear by the Pedialyte powder packets. I drink one before bed and chase with a full glass of water and havent had a hangover in about 3 yrs.

    Dr. Wolfie's proven hangover prevention...

    1) Greasy food at end of drinking session, or first thing in morning

    2) Slam a Pedialyte before passing out (most important)

    3) Blowfish tablet http://forhangovers.com/ in a gatorade or pedialyte upon waking up

    4) And then more booze.

Trust the pro. I have gone on several benders with outanding results using this formula that I have derived after years of lab testing and real world application. :wink2:

Thanks for the response! I've always done Subway or some solid food and water and Advil but just heard about the Pedialyte trick (thanks captainron62 and Wolfman619)) and am intrigued. Is it powder that you mix with water or juice? I'm game to give it a try!

I've gotten in trouble for saying this before but it works. Have a water or other non alcoholic drink in between drinks. It doesn't have to be a giant water bottle or giant slurpee. It's a hangover prevention/harm reduction system. Everything else is what to do before bed or what to do the next morning. My father was a functioning drunk for over 20 years and this is how he did it.

Pedialyte definitely helps me! It prevents the headache and prevents that dried out feeling you get the morning after, but I have found that it DOESN'T stop the upset stomach those of us with sensitive stomachs get.

They come in liters, do you slam a full liter of Pedialyte before bed? That seems difficult when fairly drunk. I take a little down before bed, take some if I wake up in the middle of the night, and then drink it down in the morning.

Does the Blowfish tablet dissolve fine in Pedialyte? Seems like a thicker liquid. I like the grape haha.

I am sure that this is probably the BEST solution but it gets crap because it is inconvenient, possibly adds to the urination load, and is difficult to ask for a glass of water in a crowded bar with every drink.

For the Pedialyte users, why do you prefer Pedialyte over an electrolyte sports drink such as Gatorade or Powerade?

Too much sugar in Gatorade. Extends the hangover.

Too much sugar - on the side of Pedialyte they show a chart where the difference in electrolytes is huge compared to Gatorade. It does come at a price. $5.99 usually for 1 liter of Pedialyte in Chicago

That's worked for me for over 13 years now.

It's also a great way to avoid waking up to a 2-bagger, coyote ugly and forgetting where you left your pants.

Drink an occasional water while indulging and before you hit the sack. Keep a bottle of water on your nightstand. Make sure you do EAT as well along the way as well, not just drink your calories.

Another fan of the water. With each drink (and there are many), I also order a water. Granted....I use the ladies room often, but I have never, ever had a hangover. I love my Vegas time and would hate to lose some of it due to the dreaded hangover.
