Anybody watching? What a incredible game!! Going to overtime!! Tied 2-2. Canada scored with 3:30 to go and then again with seconds left and the goalie pulled.

    Get to a TV quick!

That was a great comeback for the Canadian team :)

With women's Olympic hockey I do kind of wish there was more competition and it wasn't just Canada and USA for the gold every time and the other teams playing to see who gets bronze.

Come on. She swallowed her whistle on what should have been a penalty shot.

After the men's game vs Russia I said that it was such an exciting game that I would have been okay if we lost.

Feeling the same way here about the women's game. But not really. ARGGH! Give that open goal shot an inch to the right and it's over. Fun game.

It's really hard to beat Canada because their entire culture is built around this sport. Nobody I spoke to today here in the US even knew the game was being played. I don't even know anybody who knows how to skate. The odds are always long against the USA because of that kind of stuff.

Yup. In Canada, workplaces stopped during the game. I was told, jokingly, that I had 13 minutes to finish my meeting before the game started!

Yes, incredible that it turned out like that. Like you said, 1" and it's over.

I think that's is what makes hockey so great, you just never know, so many things that can go one way or the other.

I'm definitely going to get up early to watch the two men's hockey games tomorrow.

I've been a hockey fan since I was a kid and I took a trip to Canada, but there aren't that many hockey fans in the USA. Unfortunately, in NJ, hockey is a sport only for the very wealthy, so it's very hard to get any kind of training, or ice time, or whatever. It typically doesn't get cold enough around here to play pond hockey so people don't play outdoors in the winter. It's like that in most of the USA. I guess that's why our national team players come mostly from Minnesota, Michigan, and parts of New England. Those are the only places that really have the natural climate for the sport.

Americans are pretty much universally good at the Canadian sport of basketball, though.
