I know this changes a few times a year... but checking in now for my upcoming trip in a few wks...

Where should I be playing blackjack on the strip if I want to play $25/hand with the best payouts/rules? Assume anywhere on the strip is fair game.

At that level, my info is probably out of date, but I will try and help. I'm inclined to say Monte Carlo or Mirage. Monte Carlo because they used to have great rules at the lower levels when I played there years ago. Don't know if that is still the case. I would say the same about Mirage (also haven't played there in a couple years), although there was a recent thread stating that Mirage has moved to 6:5, except for the tables outside the high limit room (and I don't know if those are $25 limits; but may be worth checking out). Seems like to get the good rules these days, you have to play in the high limit.

Monte Carlo still has some of the best BJ games on the strip...this is where I play.

Do they still have good rules at $25 and less? I assume they do at the high levels

Last time I was in Mirage (early Dec '13) I couldn't find a single S17 on the floor - if they exist, they certainly weren't open when I was there. The HL still had the good DD and six deck games though - $100 mins.

I think MGM Grand is still probably your best bet. When I was there in Sept '13 they had a few six deck S17 games at $25-50. Though, if there's a big fight or concert, the mins go up quickly.

On weekday this trip, I played $25 six deck S17 at Bellagio (won $350 waiting to snag the buffet). Aria has S17 for $50, and a few tables worth playing at the $25 level. MGM is the other option.

Mgm has good rules at green chip level... stand on s17 @ $25 level in the mornings/really slow periods outside of the high limit room near the pai gow tables. Coming from nyny you have to walk past a couple of 6/5 pits but after that the blackjack tables are mostly
    good rules

I'm really just confirming what others have stated. At the $25 level it's an easy decision - MGM casinos. Specifically Bellagio, Aria, Mirage & MGM. I would expect all those casinos to have a $25 BJ game with all the good rules at some point during a weekly period.

In terms of which casino is most likely to have a $25 game at a given time it would be MGM followed by Bellagio followed by Aria. Mirage is more tricky in that they have a maximum of 3 tables with the good rules (possibly less according to recent reports) and those 3 tables may not all be open at any given time.
