Robbed at gunpoint at Boardwalk and South Carolina by three guys at 8:45 pm.
Officer from another NJ town. Didnt say say whether he had his off-duty gun with him. Obviously its cold out there at night this time of year ,I'm guessing not of people around so be careful .

They really need to expand the tourism zone and get rid of the housing projects near the Boardwalk. There's way too much riff-raff within walking distance of tourist areas and it's really made things dangerous.

Many years ago they told us on our tour group to avoid walking in between casinos especially at night. Use the board walk at all times.

Last time we went 2 years ago ............. same tour. Be careful walking the boardwalk especially at night. Jewelry should be not be worn in a manner it can be grabbed and ran off with. Be aware of your surroundings and those around you.

Both times we were told DO NOT venture more than 2 blocks off the boardwalk EVER and don't venture of the boardwalk at night.

AC has gone off a cliff as far as I am concerned. Use to be we would do it 5 or 6 times a year .......... now we just do Vegas 2x a year and enjoy it so much more.

Vegas is very dangerous off strip though - gangland !

Areas with casinos tend to attract lots of criminals, because thieves know people are going to have large amounts of cash on them. Atlantic City has never gotten its act together because local government is made up of the same sort of hoodlums that made the city rundown in the first place. When I'm in AC, I never leave the resort except to go to the beach or Steel Pier in the daytime.

    Hey Now!

I'm always careful coming and going from Resorts especially. I usually take a throw down wallet, and I keep my money clip in a front pocket with my ID, and only venture out during the day.

We mostly stay at the Marina District

Generally much safer over there. Do enjoy the Boardwalk on a warm day ,never late at night.
