Well my first trip to Vegas is coming up in just 8 days and just looking for some advice on what the weather and temperatures will be like and what kind of clothing to wear. I was planning on t-shirts and 3 quarter length trousers/jeans for during the day and smarter jeans and a shirt for night time would this be suitable or should i be taking jumpters and more longer sleeve stuff?

The day time temps should be in the mid-seventies during your visit.

This time of year I usually wear slacks or jeans, a long-sleeved shirt and a light jacket.

1 pair of jeans, 3 pair of shorts, some sweats, 5 golf shirts and 5 t-shirts plus a hoody is how I am rolling - starting tomorrow. 1 suit case worth. If that does not cover it - I'll buy it.

I'm fine with the cooler weather though - plus the majority of the time I'll be inside.

Wife on the other hand is bringing enough stuff to warrant a moving van.

Being the kinda person to ask the question leads me to recommend you should bring some longer sleeve stuff along. Days should be 60s-70's, but it will cool down at night.

Cheers for the replies guys. That temperature seems quite warm to me as am from scotland so will just pack a couple of hoodies or jumpers just to be safe.

When we went mid Feb a few years ago it never got above 55 degrees and that was the high for a 4 day trip....pools are not open and most strip activity is not going on or closed....since then we have wrote off Vegas in Feb and now only go in April, August and October....but it's HOT in August as you might know.

The 10 day forecast has the daytime temps in the mid 70's. I think what you are planning sounds okay. I leave in 6 days and I'm bringing a mix of short sleeves and long sleeves. Of course we have been having a craptastic winter here in Minnesota, so it will probably feel like about 90 degrees to me.

Having been in Vegas every month numerous times, my advice is to check several weather sites right up until departure. That's what I'll be doing next week. It's interesting how some of the forecasts can vary so widely, and I've usually found them more optimistic than the weather actually encountered. Save the ten day forecasts for a week, compare against what the weather actually was, and you'll see what I mean. While the weather in February can be sunny and mild, and so far it's looking pretty good, it can also be cold, windy, and rainy. Keep checking!

Being from WI, 70* feels AH-Mazing!
Last Feb, I was in shorts/capris & light shirts.
It was warm and I chose to sit outside for Breakfast at Hash House, I felt bad for the waiter, he was shivering but I LOVE the 55* weather and the sunrise over the mountains...I knew I was going back to 10+ inches of snow...I was taking it in!!!

Anywho, I'd say check the local news sites for their forecast, I never trust weather.com

I just got back this morning. Tshirt and long trousers for daytime, you'll need a light jacket for night time.

We were there last February and it was one of the colder weeks. The wind was brutal during the early morning. When the sun was out it was actually nice.

We are going again in Feb and expecting the same sort of weather without that usual crazy wind. As a result it will be jeans and work boots during the early morning with a jacket then same attire for the afternoon but will switch to sneakers.

When we settle down during the night the jacket really isn't required because the casinos were pretty warm inside.

Take a jacket one measure heavier than you think you will need. Better to have than not. I had to purchase a heavier one on my last trip, desert weather changes quickly!
