Hey, I got a free entry sent to this in April. Is this just a gimmick all infest with a few chips or is this a legit tournament?
    Anyone played it before?

Just played in the one this month. 1500 starting chips. Blinds start at 25/50 and go up every 15 minutes. So ya all in fest. But first day you have 10 at table and each table plays down to 2 then they come back to the next day. All prizes are freeplay except i believe top 3 get half freeplay half cash.

Cool, okay thanks. Might be worth trying.
Do you remember about how many were in it at the beginning?

I don't know the exact amount. I didn't last past the 1st day. But there was 3 different starting times. And mine was at noon and the room was full. Probably about 40 tables of 10 people. SO I would guess anywhere from 1000-1200.

Very little strategy involved. By the third level the big blind is putting in 10% of their starting chips, so you definitely have to catch a hand. The other thing is at least half the table has never played poker, which would be an advantage if you had time to wait for a hand.

Obviously a free shot at $15,000 is worth a try, but I wouldn't make a trip out to Vegas just to play in it (at least, I wouldn't do it again....)

No, I figured it was something like that.
We are going anyway, thought it might be fun for a little while. We are going anyway, just saw it on my offers and wondered if it was even worth the time to go or not.
    Thanks for the info!
