    I'm going this weekend!!

Well, it's completely remodeled, top to bottom. Rooms, casino, restaurants. Everything. That's it's selling feature. It's HUGE too which can be a pro or a con. Lots of new resturaunts too, the pub, there's a new mexican place, the new nightclub too obviously.

Tips, well because it's so big, check in is usually a very very long line. Parking is far, and the cab line and valet line are always busy, so be prepared. Make sure you have a Grand King or Queen room the West Wing ones are tiny.

Wolfgang Puck is really good, great for lunch. Love those blue cheese potato chips mmm.

I think most people would tell ya to go try the Lion's Share slot machine.

It's been around since 1993 and it NEVER hit, so 2 million plus if you hit it! They can't remove it until someone wins.

Sigma Horse game is a lot of fun and you can play for as little as 25 cents a race. I think there are only two in town (MGM and the D)

    Fat Tuesdays down stairs.:beer::beer:
    Infinite number of slot machines.
Walk across the bridge to NYNY and Excalibur for $5 table games.
NYNY next door for a much better overall selection of food i like.
    Close to the monorail.
    Great SportsBook.

Get the Peanut Butter Crunch Burger at Pub 1842. It is so much better than it sounds.

Like others said, be prepared for how big it is. I love MGM, but it is huge. Long walk to your room, car, pool, food, fill in the blank.

I remember going there for a Carrot Top show before he was at the Luxor. I saw Kiefer Sutherland walk by at one point and had to do a double take because I realized who it was too late. Somehow I got lost, place is HUGE, and ended up in an Arcade downstairs. Had to ask how to get back to the casino. Hadnt even a clue I was a floor below the casino, since I didnt remember even going downstairs. Crazy place, lots of fun stuff to do though!

Callamari at grand wok is good, pub 1842 NY steak and their burgers are great. Tap, a new sports bar just opened. I love the MGM and stay there every time I go. Huge selection of table and slot games. It is huge but the lay out is very user friendly in my opinion....ughhh....can't wait to go back.

    Getting around

Figure out the map and shortcut from the elevator that cuts through the sports book. It will save you a long walk that around the casino.

I love the hotel period!!!! Everytime I've walked into the casino from the NYNY strip entrance there's a level of energy that is undescrible! I always like to start my evening off with a few cocktails at Centrifuge. There is also a small convience store located next too Centrifuge that smells bottles of Champagne. They normally offer samples of it before you purchase a bottle, if not the almond champagne is very good. The bottles usually cost $28 plus tax. If you have an opporunity purchase tickets for Beachers Madhouse!!!!!!! Its well worth it, if you can purchase the VIP ticket/entry it does include a bottle of champagne!! Also, if you purchase the late show ticket it does include entrance into the Beachers nightclub which is an adventure unto itself.Needless to say I sincerly hope you have a wonderful time.

Too funny. So obscure, but I completely agree. I happen to order it when I was there last summer, and specifically remember it being a topic of conversation because it was so good.

As someone mentioned, use the entrance by the west wing bar that is located to the right of the Rainforest Café. What they did not mention is that entrance leads to a gift shop that is a great place to get beers and water at a reasonable price for the room. Also, by that entrance is a starbucks that is usually much less busy than the other two in the resort.

I don't want to rain on the party, but I absolutely loathe MGM. Too much riffraff running around this joint. Aisles throughout the casino have been absolutely packed with folks each time I've been here. Sometimes it's hard just to walk through this place. Buffet at MGM is subpar at best. Someone else mentioned CraftSteak and Wolgang Puck, both of which are nice, but I don't go very often as I just hate trying to walk though the casino to get to these places. I know it's Vegas, and many of the casinos are crowded, but this place takes the cake in my opinion. But, if that's your thing, then I'm sure you'll love it. I would suggest Wynn, Bellagio, Caesar's, or Mirage for sure before choosing MGM. MGM would be way down the list for me. Just my 2 cents.
