Just curious where the best spots in town to play some ddb or job at a Bartop with free drinks is. Last trip spent a good deal of time playing at harrahs and Cosmo but pretty sure both had lousy pay tables.
I love vp and free booze. . .

    Odds

I found good odds and of course string free drinks and great bar tenders at the following

    Shutters bar at the Rio
    Heart bar at Planet Hollywood
    Rear bar at Binions
    Rear bar at El Cortez

    Have fun

Bond Bar at Cosmo. Never finished my cosmopolitan before another was served to me. The VP paytables were good, even at the quarter level. This was last July though.

Best bartop VP I've found on strip is Aria Sports Bar.. 9/5 DDB vs 8/5 elsewhere.

Strip paytables are generally rough (what a shock).

Last trip, the best paytable I saw on the strip at a bar for quarters was 7/5 Triple Bonus Plus (97.67% max; strategy similar to DDB) at virtually all CET properties. But I have heard reports that now with the CET VP overhaul, some bartops now have 7/5 Bonus with STP (98.29%; strategy similar to JoB) at the quarter level. Plan to seek out and verify this in ~10 days.

At higher limits, 9/5 DDB (97.87%) can be found at Aria and possibly other places.

If you go offstrip your options can become significantly better. Downtown, for example, 9/6 JoB (99.54%) at Main St. Station at Boar's Head Bar with a scratchoff awarded for any max bet and a 4 of a kind when using a player's card.

And 4 Queens which has a 9/6 DDB with a progressive on quads (98.98% before prog) at the bar.

I can't quote on the drink service on those downtown bars yet...I never seem to get to Fremont St. sadly. :( I plan to for sure this time. I am pretty sure other forum members approve of these places, however.

For strip bars, I have had good service at Quad and Paris in the past.

I love the bartop DDB at Four Queens. They will keep the drinks coming as fast as you can drink them, and full pay. A side benefit is the people watching from the bar that is right on Fremont.

I also like the Golden Gate bar, it is 9/5 at 50cents or higher, but you can usually get higher end booze here over any other DT bar.

Strong drinks and great bartenders--very possibly. "Good odds?" Hard to believe.

I consider 8/5 DDB "average" for a strip bar (96.79% max), even CET offers it surprisingly. Not that great, but you'll struggle to find 9/5 DDB (97.87%) for quarters at the bar on the strip. Casino Royale maybe? I think jasonargo reported Circus Circus had 9/5 DDB at one bar for quarters...

You're on the Strip, you're not supposed to care about paytables...:evillaugh
