I'm heading to Vegas with some friends and as I'm a one timer (with girl so doesn't count) and all the others are Vegas virgins I'd love some advice. It sounds a cliche but we really want to do Vegas pretty hardcore and do things pretty serious. When I say serious I'm talking about the kind of time you could imagine a bunch of 25-28 year old guys wanna have.

I'm gonna be arriving with one friend on a Tuesday and we'll be on our own until the weekend. We have a budget but it's not such a concern and we can both afford to run up $5,000-10,000 each not including the 2-bedroom suite we've already booked.

When the weekend comes around we're gonna have to work on more of a budget because our other friends aren't in the same position and we don't wanna make things awkward or uncomfortable by taking things out of their price zone.

Whilst I'm somewhat aware (though trying not to be) that things aint gonna go down like The Hangover, I still wanna come through as I'm the one arranging everything.

Just think, you're a 27 year old single guy hitting up Vegas with friends..... Apart from "hit up a strip club" etc, what you recommend. Anything you've done that was just awesome?

    Personally...
    1.) Jump off the Stratosphere
2.) Visit a quality strip club
    3.) Visit a top-shelf nightclub (Hakkasan, etc)
4.) Go on a drunken gambling binge downtown.
    5.) Ride the monorail
6.) Walk the strip on a fri/sat night.
    7.) Shoot a "Tommy" gun.
8.) Shoot craps at The Palms

When are you going? if its not until the spring/summer then get a cabana or bungalow at a pool party! Did it for my stag at Wet Republic at the MGM Grand. Unreal.

The best times I've ever had in vegas were unplanned. Vegas is about going with the moment, and not looking back. My biggest suggestion would be to hope lady luck is on your side. There is nothing better in Vegas than a hot BJ table or craps table with a great group of players. Let's just say shots all around, and cash flowing in… nothing compares.

The party is where you want it to be in vegas.

Just because you pay alot of money for something does not always mean it will be a great time. The funnest times I have had were just spur of the moment times at random casino bars.

Sure they have very expensive places like night clubs and dance clubs but sometimes the expense isnt worth it.

If it were me i would make some loose plans because once everyone gets there they will want to go to the four winds. There is just so much to do that its almost impossible to find something for everyone taste and it can be frustrating if you try.

Think about the funnest times you have had at home. was it at a fancy expensive place or the corner pub with some good friends?

keep in mind there are ladies everywhere so you dont need to go someplace special to find them.

Thanks for the great ideas so far.

salukidean: I spent 5 of the last 8 years working full-time in non-profit and on this occasion I'm taking a bit of a break for myself. Whilst I find it a bit uncomfortable to talk about very over-indulgent things sometimes, I like to think of this message board as the one 'safe space' to do so....

    TIMSPEED: Especially love 1, 3, 6 & 7!

dannyg1001: Gonna be mid-April... still possible? What was unreal about it?

C0usineddie: Completely agree; best times in life are completely unplanned and your example is great. Always those night in the corner of the pub with too much lager. That being said, especially when it's just gonna be the two of us I'd love to think of some cool stuff to do. We're very competitive and would love to bring that element in too!

Honestly, just hire a bunch of strippers/hookers and have a drug and alchol-fueled blowout in your suite.

Oh, and go shoot some machine guns.

Flash some cash and the fun will find you.

It's all over the place just for the taking,I'd start in the afternoon at the Caroussel Bar near Harrahs and see what happens from there.
Good luck and have a good time.

I also agree... definitely do a cabana at a day club. Call around and see what the minimums are. Most of the places require a minimum amount spend on food and drink but I have heard that some require a fee for the cabana plus food and beverage on top of that.
We did Tao beach at venetian around 3 or 4 years ago for a bachelor party.... it was an absolute blast. Drinking and partying from like 10am till 5pm. You have a private waitress and security to make sure people don't mess with your stuff. You can hang back in the cabana and watch tv, sit out in the sun on your own private lounge chairs or hit the pool (which is a party in itself). They have different DJs playing music the whole time as well. We scored an awesome deal and only had to hit a minimum of $1000 for the group of 11 of us. So after tip and tax we each threw in like $130. I would have spent much more money and not had as much fun if I was in the casino all day.
The last time I checked prices was Summer 2012, Wet republic was $2000 min, Encore Beach Club was $2500 min for the cheapest cabanas(I think the lower cabanas were $5000) and Marquee was $1500.
Again, like I said its not exactly cheap but when you split it 10 ways its not so bad. If you think about it, you are gonna spend around the same amount of money for each drink that you pay at the regular pool, so might as well make a party out of it and hit the day club.

Was amazing mate. There was 13 of us in the 'bungalow' cabana at Wet Republic, in was in a row with about 6 others in an area guarded by security guards with our own hot tub, slightly raised from the main pool where the party is. We had a TV, playstation, fridge, safe, private waitress etc.

When the party was in full swing, the security came over and ask if we wanted some females to join us... he grabbed about 10 of em, all stunning and led them to our hot tub. You can also go down to the party pool whenever you want as well and use the cabana as a base. What a day!

Minumum spend i believe was about $2500 but we easily doubled that.

Put a surgical glove on your head and tape a feather duster to your ass. Strip naked and run across the Bellagio Lake yelling "Hens, hens, come and get your co_ _ (rooster)."
