Honeymooning in Vegas. This will be our third trip to the city and second stay Downtown. Last stay was in a GN Rush tower room.

What would you consider the best suite downtown? Stay will be over the weekend and I've already scouted the GN parlor 2 story suite on Oyster, sadly it's out of my range ($350+).

So far the D Suitei s top on my list.

The GN has two types of suites. The Spa suite (which is two stories) and the parlor suites. The Parlor suites are a proper 2 room suite that come in different decor. They start at $175 a night so they should be in your budget. I have stayed in them twice and they are very nice.

Also stayed in the D suites which are also nice. They have the advantage of having views which the Parlor suites do not. I have stayed in one once and it was great. I would put it along side the Parlor suite.

4 Queens suites are really just large rooms and not particularly nice. Skip those. MSS are a little nicer but really just a big room with a half wall separator. Skip as well (I've stayed in both of those).

Plaza has some very cheap 1 brd suites but have not stayed in them so can't comment. They "look" to be lesser than GN and D.

Not sure about Fremont or California.

    Thanks kiwiboy1!

Would you say that the D suite is more modern that the GN Parlor? Also witch has the better bathroom?

The Parlor suites are split into 6 different types. There used to be a website which showed each of the types but I can't seem to find it! They have names like Gold Tower, Scarlet, Vegas Baby, Classic etc... They are quite modern and some of them are funky! I really like the D Suites which are newer but the Parlor rooms are quite a bit larger. Parlor suites have 1 1/2 bathrooms, which the D only has one very large bathroom.

You can't go wrong with either! The link below is pretty accurate to what you get. To me it would come down to other things. Want to use the pool? GN for sure! What to get it comped after play, The D for sure. Looking for the "nicest" property then GN. Looking for a fun (loud) property then probably The D. Restaurant variety? GN again. Location? Probably a push. Need a "big" room then GN. Want 3 TV's in the living room. The D!

You are totally making me jealous!

I'll definitely put the Golden Nugget Parlor suites on my to do list. The price for my dates is $870 total.

The D comes out to about $690. I really like the bathroom set up and I've never stayed there before. It'll be a totally new experience.

The D casino was fun for me last time I played there.
    I think I'll go with the D.

Thanks a lot for the help guys. Truly.

Plaza suites are basically 2 hotel rooms with a connecting door. The 2nd room, or middle room if you want a 2 bed suite, is the room with a couch big screen tv, another bathroom(no shower), and fridge/coffee/etc. They are nice but were not specifically made suites. They also have other suites up on the upper floor that are one room, have only heard about these though. They do have a bar included in them though!

Well I fail at making youtube links. :)

I would suggest just searching youtube for those suites and there will be some results. Should give you a good idea what to expect.
