Considering these two hotels for June.

A pool is very important. Are they good?

Also, how far from the strip are these two?

Any help would be great on these two hotels, which I don't know much about but they have good prices.

Can't help with any pool information. Both of those properties are on the strip in City Center. Located across the street from Planet Hollywood.

Did Aria MDW 2011 and loved it. Wife was shocked how many available chairs there were.

Personally enjoyed being able to bring my drinks from the room in as long as it was in one of their Aria plastic cups. I'm a SPF 50+ so I had to get out of the sun to cool down regularly so this was a plus.

I consider Aria on the strip even though it's maybe a 5 minute walk through the mall area to get there. Not complicated at all.

Aria has the better pool. I like vdara better for the rooms and slightly better location in relation to Bellagio, Cosmo and the rest of the strip. Vdara prices also tend to be better than aria.

If the pool is most important do aria. Sign up for their emailing list for regular room deals.

Stayed at Aria last August. Pool area is nice, 3 pools and plenty of seats. Our room view was of the Vdara pool. Looked okay but Aria's seems much nicer.

Aria has a great pool complex!!
Very spacious with plenty of room.

    Vdara has the "Death Ray"
    Any other questions?

I liked the Vdara pool for a while when I was there because they have a nice pool bar and it's rather large with nice lounge chairs and umbrellas. Once the clouds shifted in the sky, though, I had to get out of there, because the "Death Ray" focused its beam down on us. It got extremely uncomfortable very quickly.

Might as well just post this here...

"Please be advised that Vdara Pool & Lounge will be closed for maintenance between January 30 – March 7, 2014. Vdara guests with a valid Vdara room key will be able to access the pool at ARIA Resort & Casino during this time"

Is the Pool a good size at the Vdara ?? Looking at spending the weekend in Vdara maybe (end of May)....
Nothing worse than an overcrowded pool or no sun loungers!
Death ray don't bother me, more heat the better! :D :D :grrr:
