Boyd Host Comp Question: Asking for a free meal?

I know I've read that others have simply went up to the club booth and asked a host for a meal comp and gotten it (not taking it off points)
I plan to play $10k coin-in per day (3 day trip; $30k coin-in)
Obviously I'll have enough points to pay for my meals..
BUT, if I just went up to the club booth and asked for a meal comp...would they give me one?

I believe you still can go to the slot club booth and the agent will contact a host for you. I thought you already had the Silver or Gold card.

 

For just a meal, just see the pit boss and save time. But at that rate of play, shame on the casino if a host doesn't come to find you.

 

I have when playing tables...and they said no.
Also, I play late, so no hosts are there when I play.

 

i was told for tables host ( pit critter if hes in a good mood ) have to do everthing as all i had was 78 cents in my account ,after playing 200$ a hand of bj there.

ps there pit people arent the friendliest in my opinion

but have played at both orleans and gold coast and get nothing as a table player but agrivation.

they told me straight out there players cards and both is geared towards slots players.

im convinced all old casino employies go to boyd as there final shift on earth before the leave us.

 

I know they're very slot oriented, but I didn't think they would jerk you around. I used to play roulette at the Orleans @10 a spin a few years ago and would get free room and meal credits. The pit bosses I've dealt with they weren't the nicest I've encountered.

 

im local dont need the room ,and there a locals based casino and they treat higher end table gamblers like shit,it was discused before on here.

just they have a few tourneys so i go in once in a while to kill time

 

Well, I know that Station Casinos treats locals the best. There slot club is way better than Boyd anyway. I like their perks, but I stick with Boyd because I like their rooms. I've gotten offers from Palace Station and Fiesta before but didn't like the hotels.

I focus most of my play on VP now so I only spend about 1/4 of my time on tables. I seems to get less now than I used to.

 

I'm curious what kind of comps the Asians get at the Gold Coast...they pack certain tables all hours of the day.

 

Several years ago, I went to the Player's Club Desk at the California to see if we had enough points for dinner. After looking at our account, she told us to go over to the VIP Host Desk and talk to a host. The host then gave us a generous comp.

P.S. I don't want to hi-jack the thread, but coin-in was mentioned also. I have no idea how to determine coin-in. Could someone explain that?

It's the total amount you bet - not the amount of actual cash you put into the machine. So if you're betting $1 per spin (or VP hand) and you play 1000 spins/hands, your coin in would be $1000.
