I have a few lines of credit at Vegas casinos. But back when I was using them, I was exclusively a table games player. These days, though, video poker probably gets over 50% of my time/bankroll.

    So, my questions are…

How does it work for VP/slot players? Do I just go to the high limit room, show them my card and ID and ask for money?

Is there typically an amount (% of total LOC) I can withdraw at a time?

Are they cool giving cash or will they try to get me to take a TITO?

    Anything else I should know?

(The line will be at Wynn, if that matters…)

    Thanks!

Not sure how it is at strip properties but I usually just go to the cashier cage to take out a marker. I play mostly table games but sometimes play the machines. I usually just ask for a $x00 marker a the cage. they give me back the $$ in whatever denomination I ask for, whether it is in hundreds or 20's.

I usually don't take out markers at the tables because if the table is cold I would rather just move on.

I have them at a few MGM properties. I've used the LOC at tables and slots. For cash I go to the high limit slot room. They aren't as happy to do it as at the tables, but they will. They usually require a supervisor's signature for cash.

Not sure about other properties, but it's probably industry standard.

    Good luck!

Interestingly enough, with all the talk about "only taking markers for gambling at a particular casino"--if you march up to the high limit slot cashier and ask for a marker, they will hand you over the cash without question. They will give you a tito if you want it, but they don't push it. (I'm referring to Bellagio/Aria/Caesars, other joints may be different.)

IIRC, NYNY provides a ticket and PH provides cash.

At Wynn they will let you take either a TITO or cash. We usually take our first marker at about 30% of our LOC. After that.....well.....it just depends.....

I like my marker in a ticket and DH likes cash. So, we get both.

Good luck......I really want to hit up the slot tournament they are having on Feb 21/22, but not sure we can make it then or not.

Perfect! Thank you. I've noticed lately that on hand pays if I don't specify how I want it, they bring a ticket (I prefer cash for superstitious:rolleyes2: and budgeting purposes). I just wanted to make sure they didn't try to push the tickets for markers.

I wanted to do that tourney, too...that's some nice prize money. It seems like every good one is a week or two before or after one of my planned trips. :grrr:

Thanks for all the input, gang! Much appreciated.
