Recently reported by the Las Vegas Advisor, that the RIO breakfast buffet will end on Feb. 16th. The lunch and dinner buffets will continue ...

We have always enjoyed their breakfast buffet, and using the LVA 2/1 coupon, plus CET Reward Credits, made a very nice free breakfast. Our April trip will now need to have a schedule change. :Þ

Omg! That's an awesome breakfast! That leaves very few options for breakfast at the Rio. The All American Grill has a limited breakfast, Starbucks is an option, and the HHAGG won't be open for a while yet. Well, the Coast does have a nice breakfast buffet.

Wonder what the reason is for that.

Well, that screws up our March trip big time. For one thing, I had it "scheduled" for our day to do the Buffet of Buffets to have breakfast there (since we're staying there) and we'll be at a convention for half our stay so intended to eat on site those days, for the most part.

Anyone hear why they are getting rid of breakfast?
I love their breakfast too, its delicious.

Well at least your close to Gold Coast. You can't go wrong with their $5.99 breakfast. Its better than some strip breakfast buffets I've had for $20 lol.

The Rio is just closing down, little by little. It was Harrified and nobody wants to go there anymore. Very sad.

    Harrahaized ? ?

Well it's not on the strip or downtown so it is kinda out of the way to my way
    of thinking..
    But again that's just me.
I'm a downtowner and always will be.

I wonder since the number of buffet meals are being lessened, if that would lower the price of the buffet of buffet? I doubt it. But like you, if I was staying at a Casino that only offered 2 buffets a day instead of 3, why would I even think of getting the 24 hour pass?

Had the misfortunate of eating there last year. We got there around 10:30 and the host was all excited to tell us we could choose either breakfast or the lunch which was just coming out.

Well the lunch dishes were caked over, dry and obviously were all left over from (hopefully only) the night before.

Terrible, terrible and not edible. Good riddance. Even if it's cheap it's not worth it if the food is terrible.

Breakfast buffets work better at smaller venues anyway, as that type of food does not hold its heat very well. Plus, a breakfats buffet does not need a ton of offerings.
I won't miss the RIO closing shop for breakfast.

Agreed. The Rio buffet is the only buffet in Vegas that I have left hungry.
