I booked a three night comp at Silverton for March. I am very familiar with the hotel and have stayed in both the suites and the standard rooms in the past. I am very familiar with the casino, restaurants, location, service, and amenities of the rest of the hotel.

According to their website, it appear they have remodeled some of the standard rooms. They offered me this room for a $30 per night upgrade, which I accepted.

I can't find any reviews or information on these rooms other than what their web site states:
Has anyone stayed in these Luxury King rooms? If so, can you comment on their quality/amenities?

    Thanks!

I am staying in a luxury king next week. I will try to get some pics and let you know how it is. I have stayed in their standard king and liked it very much. Looking forward to two nights at The Cosmo and two at The Silverton.

Post up your experience when you get back. I always stay at the Silverton on every Vegas trip but I always stayed in a standard room.

    Will do.

I used to have diamond status at Silverton, so I could easily get a suite. But since moving away, I only get out there about once a year and the standard room is all I can get comped these days.

I assume the luxury king rooms are simply remodeled standard rooms, but I'm curious to know if they can make a stay at Silverton a more pleasant experience, given that I can no longer get a suite. The bathrooms in the standard rooms are small and I am hoping they have removed the tub/shower combo in favor of a luxury shower. I'm also hoping the bedding/linens are upgraded over the standard rooms. The only thing I know for sure about these rooms is that they are on the 1st floor.

My opinion of the luxury king room.

The bed is fantastic as you can see in the pic. Very comfortable. I don't feel like the room was much better than the standard king. It was very nice but not worth the extra money in my opinion. The shower head is awesome. No wimpy flow of water here. You feel like you are under a waterfall.

The room was on the first floor and I prefer as high up as possible. No view. Here are the pics:

The Luxury King is a very nice room. I believe all Luxury King rooms are on the ground floor.

As stated above, the bed is amazing. One of the best I've slept in in Vegas.

Thank you sooo much for the photos of the room!

That is exactly what I wanted to see. Pics like these don't seem to exist on tripadvisor or oyster which are my go-to sites for reviews/photos. And the Silverton web site only offers a thumbnail shot of the bed.

To me, it will certainly be worth the $30 per night upgrade over the standard room comp. It looks like this room will be very comfortable.

Awesome pics. Thanks for posting those up. I had no idea it was only $30 more than the typical comped room. I will have to remember that the next time I stay there.

Wow! That looks like a huge improvement over the old tube tv's and the awful shower and bathroom. I almost always stay at least one night at the Silverton as I love the size and mood of the casino, and the beds rank right up there with some of the best in Vegas. With the remodeled rooms, Silverton may shoot to my #2 spot of places to stay...just behind M Resort. Sadly, I won't get to check out the rooms first hand for a while as my first child was born Monday. I don't think i will be getting back to town for a while.

We get comped standard rooms and paid the extra $30 per night for 3 nights for a special occasion. My wife really liked the upgraded bathroom, furniture and flatscreen tv. For $ 30 a night, well worth it . been back twice since but just took the free standard room. if you want something a little more classy, go for it. I still think silverton is one of the last casinos with the old tube tvs in the standard room.
On a side note, beware of the credit card activated safes. Last 2 trips couldn't get my stuff out and the maintenances guy had to come drill it out. If you have an early check out, this could be a problem. The guy said it happens often. Good Luck!
