If you could add one thing to Vegas, which isn't part of a casino, or gambling related. What would you add and why (It doesn't need to be something useful, just something you would enjoy having in Vegas!)

I personally would love to see the addition of a stripside outdoor go kart track complete with floodlights etc for night racing. I think that would make some serious cash as well!

An elevated monorail from the airport to downtown running right down the middle of the strip with platforms at various destinations that would connect over the strip to the destinations. It will never happen, but it would be great.

    Pork Roll.

One of the biggest drawbacks of leaving NJ is you can't find pork roll anymore, and there is no better breakfast, especially after a night of drinking, than a pork roll, egg and cheese on a hard roll with pepper and ketchup.

I'm sure it sounds odd but a botanical garden. There needs to be a more sedate place to relax other than your room or a pricey spa. It can't be just a park because of all the goofs it would attract but a garden with an entrance fee would avoid that. I think there may be interest in seeing a garden in that climate.

Mirage has their Secret Garden for a fee. Tigers and Dolphins and palm trees.

But I really like the Wildlife Habitat at the Flaming-O. It's free, no bums hanging around, and quite peaceful. You can sit back there for hours in the middle of the strip, and get away from it all. I truly miss the penguins though.

You'll usually find me back there in the early afternoon, not long after I blew my BR for the day! :rolleyes2:

I may be the only one but I think a Weird Al Yankovic residency at D or another downtown casino would a great addition to Vegas.

I'd like to see an area set aside for a flea market/swap meet on the north Strip for those of us that like to shop for Vegas memorabilia. I'm not into it like I used to be, but it would be fun looking around for vintage Vegas items.

Years ago, there was a debate in Vegas - install a monorail linking the strip casinos with each other & the airport ~or~ install a 'people-mover' moving sidewalk that ran down the middle of the strip, from the Trop all the way to downtown.
We know what they built (conveniently leaving out the airport connector).
I think the people-mover would be great...but just like the 'center-strip monorail' mentioned up-thread, it'll never happen.

So, more realistically, I'd like to see the taxi authority establish 'flat-rates' for all cab routes between the airport & all of the casinos on the strip or downtown...and I'd love to see private businesses have their smoking/non-smoking choices & liberty restored.

Well - come to think of it - those will never happen either.

Air lifts similar to ski lifts for sightseeing all along the strip. Minimum 1000' in the air. Drop off and get on stations along the way.

Would be nice but never gonna happen.

An underground tube train that runs to every casino, even freemont st. and also the airport.

A new zoo. One closer to either downtown or the strip. I never knew there was a zoo until it was closed.

Not what I am talking about at all. I do enjoy the Bellagio Conservatory but what I am talking about is taking some valuable strip real estate and converting it to "green" space; not anything indoors or affiliated with casino. It's nice to see what they can do in a climate controlled environment but what would be unique is to see something done around native plants and climate. As beautiful as the B Conservatory can be, it's not relaxing dealing with the tourists packed in a small space. I am not paying the Mirage a dime and the Flamingo annoys me to the point where I generally skip it even if I hit every other casino in the neighborhood.
