I'll be using this award next week, I made a reservation on open table for 9pm on a Friday night. There's been other threads about this reward but it was from much earlier in the summer. Just looking for others' recent experiences with this reward? Did you enjoy it?

How did it go? I'm curious because we are thinking of using it in February. Was thinking of making a reservation on Open Table as well. We are hoping to use it on a Thursday night (the same day we fly in).

My experience of the dueling pianos is all of about 2 minutes or so.

We'd eaten at the Pub with a happy hour special hour package deal and liked the place. We went back to check out the dueling pianos and it was two guys up there that thought they were funny but were stupid as hell, They weren't playing anything but just yacking back and forth. We got up and walked out. There's to much other entertainment in Vegas.

Some people must like it, it's been going for a while but wasn't it just closed down for a while?

We went in August for my birthday trip. We were excited but then kinda get disappointed. There were a lady piano player & a guy piano player. Both of them were taking requests and not many people gave the guy player request (to be honest, the lady one is a better piano player and singer). So they kept asking people to gave him some requests. They also had karaoke so people could get up and sang.

We went to other Piano bars in our city and to be honest the one at Monte Carlo was a let down. The plus side was if you checked in on Foursquare you can get happy hour price all night. So we had happy hour buffalo wings and well drinks. Still after the cocktails, the dueling was not great. It's more like going back and forth more than dueling. :rolleyes2:

Damn, just found this thread right after posting a new thread asking for feedback as well toward this reward.

From some general reviews it hasn't been favorable.
Issues with the piano player not being very entertaining, issues with the types of drinks and food that you are actually able to get.

Was sure how reputable was the feedback which is why i posted the thread.

It appears like a great offer but not so great when you actually use it.

I have used this reward twice. Beware of some previous reviews because the wording of the reward has changed (in my opinion for the better). They give you $100 tab for anything on their menu (the reward used to be limited to well drinks and coors light only for 2 hours). You can reserve your table on opentable and request piano seats mentioning myvegas VIP in the requests box. The players change, depends on the night you go and whomever they have booked. Both times we went they had the same two guys (months apart). The one guy was quite good, most of the requests went to him as he played 'newer' songs. The other guy was a good piano player but he was a bit older and it showed in his voice (he also only played oldies). I guess it was a younger crowd because there were not too many requests for oldies. It was a very fun night though, especially after drinking $100 worth of leffe blonds :)

Karaoke nights can be a bit rough, they mix singers from the audience with dueling pianos.. If you get a bunch of drunk people who think they can sing it can be pretty bad... but they also steer it back when they can.

Can you use this reward towards food or is it only for drinks? The reward page on MyVegas doesn't give any details except VIP seating & "$100 bar tab for the night".

    Thanks.

We used this last august and had a great time. It was unlimited wells drinks and my wife and I had over $100 worth the drinks, we were smashed. We stayed through the entire show, it was pretty entertaining, two guys playing. I might have left half way through or maybe a little later but my wife loved it too much.

    I would recommend it.
