Being a lover of Downtown I was excited to see Plaza is addding another dimension. I think it will be a nice addition and yet another place for a cocktail during March Madness

I dont understaand why its taking them so long for this.

Is it that tough to plant some grass and put in some tables and chairs. That area in from of plaza has been just empty or partially done for a couple years now.

I'm looking forward to trying it out.

You'd think they'd have it up and running for NYE. We'll see if they make it or not.

Unfortunately, the bier garden was not ready for NYE. However, we are close to having it available. We as employees are just as excited and anxious to have this addition open for everyone. This is our chance to offer an outside venue to enjoy for our guests to enjoy. :)

Yea, sit outside on artificial turf, try and peer over the wall you built that blocks any view of Main St, only to see the backside of the stage on Fremont. Sounds fun.

Good to hear. I'm one of those excited to try it out and meet employees like you.

I checked it out again last night (Jan 9th) and thought it looked close to ready. Any input on when we'll see it open?

    Thanks,
    Bill

    Never enough good beer

Woo-hoo! Another downtown place for beer, and you can even stand on real grass while drinking it! Normally my walk between MSS and GG is an express trip, but a detour will definitely be in the cards come March.

Hello Joe. When I was there last month it appeared there was some real grass right in front, but my vision ain’t what it used to be and much of what you see in Vegas is an illusion anyway. Either way, it shouldn’t impact our enjoyment of the ales, assuming the selection is as good as the press reports indicate. Can't wait to hear what the board thinks of the place. Take care.

Can a brother get a beer? How about the garden open in time for the.....wait for it....the biggest sporting event of the year....Super Bowl. I'll be staying there during the game and it would be nice to enjoy some turf and brews during the game......

Real grass is what they're advertising and telling us guests... You know it's turf or just throwing out assumptions? Sure looked real to me last week.

Looked like turf to me when I walked by 3 weeks ago, but I couldn't get up close to tell for sure.
They sell about 10 different grades of turf in the LV area and some are impossible to tell apart from grass from afar. This wasn't one of them, it looked like turf, imo.

I hope I'm wrong, real grass would be a nice touch.

I walked by several times each trip in Oct, Nov & Dec and never saw them laying any irrigation piping.

Turf is real grass. Artificial turf isn't. :peace:

This is a quote from Vegas Chatter:
Customers can dine at the bar or relax outside in the Bier Garten’s backyard, designed to recreate the traditional European beer garden and be downtown Las Vegas’ new backyard. This new urban oasis overlooking Fremont Street will utilize picnic tables, real grass, trellises and greenery to create its backyard, beer garden experience.

I got lazy and wrote turf as in artificial turf. I guess I stand corrected. If two sources say it is real grass, I guess it will be.
