My wife and I are headed to Vegas next month and we're staying at Caesars Palace. The host who booked our reservation said he could send one of Caesars' limos to take us to Caesars from the airport for $75.00. Does anyone have any experience with a limo from Caesars? I've also read good reviews for Presidential and can't decide if I should use them or use the limo offered by the host. Any input is appreciated.

    Thanks.....

Kind of shocking that he would offer a LIMO and then ask you to pay for it? Something smells fishy there!

Nothing fishy. Caesars and Mlife handle their limos differently.

At mlife props (and most others) if a host arranges a limo for you it is comped, period. If you don't qualify they will simply tell you they cannot send one. If you are RFL, RFB, or above you get a limo at mlife, if not you don't.

At Caesars, even if you don't qualify for an automatic limo comp the host will order you a limo if you ask and bill it to your room. If you play enough it will be comped off in the end on a discretionary basis or you can use rewards credits for it. Caesars contracts out the service to Bell transportation and it is highly reliable.

Probably 8 times out of 10 my limo to CP winds up getting comped. If your host is telling you upfront you will be charged you may not have the greatest chance of having it picked up based on your previous play patterns, though. If at the end of your trip you have had all of your food and beverage charges comped off, it is very likely you qualify for a complimentary departure limo too.

Hey guys.....sorry I wasn't very clear in my original post. I wasn't offered the limo; I specifically asked for it. I don't believe that I'm quite at the level required to be offered a comped limo...I'm just pleased that my 5 nights have been comped upfront! My main question was if I should take him up on his offer of a limo or go with Presidential, who I've read is really good. I guess I was thinking that Caesars owned its own "fleet" of limos or something, but I guess that's not the case as dankyone says they contract out to Bell Transportation. It looks like it would be cheaper to go with Presidential, but I was hoping to get some recommendations. Thanks!

The last time I used Caesars's Limo they told my $65 from airport and $60 back to Airport. The pick up was by presidential or Bell and I think I was only charged $50. They just put it on room charge. They did use a Caesars limo to go back to airport.

Unless you fly into the new terminal or get there at a crazy hour, you don't need to preorder a limo. Walk out of the door marked "limos" and there are almost always several waiting... and you'll get it for much less than $75. I've never had an issue going this route.

You might want the placard with your name on it and the driver to help you with a bag, but then you're forced to walk all the way to the parking deck to get the limo and the driver is hardly any help at all with the bags. Much easier/efficient to walk out of the door. I've done both ways several times before and I much prefer showing up and grabbing one on the curb.

Wow, that sucks. You’ve had some crappy drivers. I’ve never had to carry a bag when I’ve booked through Presidential or when I’ve had a casino send a limo. Even when I “protest” (just to appear polite, of course:wink2:) they insist on taking my bags.

That said, regardless of whether you book a limo or just grab one when you get there, you can get a better deal than $75, especially if you can make do with a Towncar or SUV.

+1 for this...I was kinda shocked how far we had to drag our bags/walk to get to the LIMO with presidential when we arrived in December.

Puts a little downer on the LIMO ride actually!

Well, my plan was to surprise my wife with the limo, so I was thinking the placard with our name on it would be nice. But I guess that's not completely necessary, especially if our experience is going to be diminished with a long walk to the limo. Hmmmm...... Decisions, decisions.

Didn't seem like a long walk at all when we had Presidential in October. I had done is as a surprise for my girlfriend. I got an email a few hours before with the cell number of the driver just in case. He was waiting at baggage claim, helped with the bags, everything was great. On our return day he was waiting at the hotel 20 minutes before our scheduled time.

Thanks for the info Vic. Just out of curiosity, did you do the stretch limo with the "VIP amenities" (champagne, rose, etc.)?

We always use Presidential Limo for round trip airport service. For $133+tax we get a stretch limo, baggage assist, champagne, a rose, and cold bottles of water on pick-up. For the return trip we get the same level of superior service with our bags, and cold bottles of water. It is almost ironic that no champagne is offered when going TO the airport. God knows leaving is a sad enough reason to need to drink!

If CP is going to charge you $60+ each way for their limos, I would say go ahead and book with Presidential and get all the amenities as well.

We had Aria limo service (SkySuites) in July and while the driver was very nice it wasn't a stretch limo and no rose or champs.

This is just my opinion. Whatever route you choose to go, a limo is always a fine way to travel.

Depends on how many bags. I think we had a cart once and they helped us carry once (we had a female once and I can't remember which was which).

Walking to the parking deck was a downer, but the name placard is cool. We got the rose and champagne once and the other time it wasn't there. Not a big deal for me though. That's something I could live without.

If you want to surprise your wife, book it up front and have fun. That's just the way I always travel to the hotel. So, it's nothing special for me any longer.

At least your host told you there was a charge. Mine told me she would send a complimentary limo, then took $65 of my rewards points to pay for it. ( I specifically asked her if there was a charge when she offered it and she said NO!)

Wow...that's sneaky. It seems like more and more of that is occurring nowadays!
