What is the typical clientele for each major Las Vegas hotel?

 

There really isn't one. You are going to find classy, wealthy people, you will find classy not so wealthy people, you will find people really down on their luck, you will find international travelers who don't speak English, you will find young partiers, you will find old partiers, you will find dirty people, you will find drunk people, I can go on and on. Are you going to find more wealthy people at say, Aria, then you would say, Circus circus? Yes of course, but for many people, vegas is a once in a lifetime trip (or so they think...till they get there, lol) and people scrimp and save to stay at a nice place. Or they get a great deal on a travel site and can't believe the price they are paying for airfare and a nice hotel in the strip, compared to if they were going to NY or something.

So while you can probably define a certain clientele from each casino or resort, you will run into every possible different category you can imagine. You will have the looker wanna be's at the higher end casinos, and you will have the high rollers wanting to let loose and party at a lower end casino.

I cringed when I read the quote above, from another post. I have stayed at Ballys twenty or more times, 90% of the time using their pool and usually getting a cabana. On weekends it is def a party zone. My daughter says she had more fun at Ballys pool, with a large group of kids her age than she did a year later at Flamingo, which is renowned for its party atmosphere. Go figure.

You are going to run into people from the Northeast in every single property..Yes I know it can be disturbing hearing those accents and the way they dress..Stayed at the Palazzo one trip and they were wearing sports hats and t-shirts emblazened with logos etc. I just shook my head and wondered why I left xx in the first place..I returned to my room and quickly showered and left my tuxedo for housekeeping to clean ASAP..
My next trip planned will be Macau,but I hear there are 'Slant-eyed' people there...may have to reconsider..

hmm, i actually think this topic is interesting:

As we all know, most of the newer (or newly renovated) resorts try to go after the so-cal party crowd.. of course this is just what their marketing departments wants to sell; but it would be interesting to have a comparison between all the strip hotels (maybe including DT and off-strip, maybe) and their 'clientele they want to attract with their marketing' and the 'clientele that they really attract'...

easiest insight into that would probably to bribe some marketing guys from CET and MGM to disclose a couple of reports on that topic I bet they have something like that on file with at least quarterly updates..

 

Orleans, California and Fremont attract lots of Hawaiians. A clue to this is to look at the menu of a coffees shop and see if they serve spam sandwiches.

I agree somewhat. I remember five years ago when I first walked into the Palms, I felt out of place. I was wearing jeans and a tank top, we just got into town and I travel comfy. I had never walked in there before and I noticed coming from Gold Coast, where it was a lot more laid back, The people were "trendy" and all dressed up. Now I LOVE seeing people dressed nice, I wish I would have been around to see the old Vegas, but I wanted to turn right around and go back to GC and change.

With that, the hotels that are higher priced will have a different clientele staying there then the cheaper ones. doesn't mean anything about the Casinos, I think that is a free for all!

 

I don't remember seeing any Hawaiians in any of those joints, ever!

Then there is the division between "tourist joints" and "locals casinos." Generally, the further off-Strip the place is, the more it will cater to and be patronized by locals.

 

Strip hotels tend to be infested with euro-trash, metrosexuals and L.A. trust fund babies.

I think most of us would like to know which hotels have the most loose but attractive looking women in their 20s and 30s who aren't "working girls". I'd also like to know where the desperate but still physically attractive married 40-something women stay. It seems like the 40-somethings would be especially fun to be with...they're looking for one last fling...

 

Seriously though, hotels have different themes and different clubs/restaurants/lounges that appeal to different demographic groups. They're not all casting a wide net to target a general audience.

I know that California and MSS used to market heavily in Hawaii for some reason.

On this last trip if there was anything unusual at Caesars it was people with dogs for some reason. They always seemed to be walking them thru the lobby area by the fountain thing.

One couple we usually meet in Las Vegas stays at Sams Town and when I go down there I usually feel young 'cuz most of the people there are older than I am. This time there seemed to be tons of kids there for some reason with the 30-something parents.

 

There are few things more fun in Vegas than being at a hot craps table full of Hawaiians.
