    My Trip Report

I couldn't help myself. It has been a while and a few gambling trips since filing a trip report, but a vegas trip just doesn't feel the same without a live TR full of un-asked for advice..... j/k.

I'm planning to go after CES, to beat the crowds....I know some people don't like this period when vegas is a little slower, but I actually enjoy this quiet time before CNY and super bowl.

    Trip background

Going to do some business in vegas and meet some high school classmates for their 40th birthday. It is funny how different life paths have diverged....one's a doctor, I'm in real estate, and another guy is a full time grower of cannabis.
The business will take about 1/2 a day, so I guess I will have a lot of free time.

    Accommodations to be worked out:

Right now will have 500k FM and 500-1.5m line at Cosmo and Wynn. Trying to decide where to stay though. Wynn will be a 2 bedroom fairway villa. Cosmo can be either a 2 or 3 bedroom penthouse or bungalow (though the host says the bungalow is too noisy right next to the club).

Would appreciate some advice as to which to choose, since I have been gambling in Asia and this will be the first time back to vegas for 6 months and I would like it to go smoothly, so if there are any recent changes for the worse at Wynn or Cosmo please let me know.

Naturally the hosts want me to stay at their property since that will be the primary gambling casino and the 2nd one the backup...

Cosmo is offering a 1% FM bonus just for showing up, which will be 5k. But I get that whether I stay or not.

Anyways, all comments and thoughts welcome!

    Nate, glad you're back.

I haven't stayed but spent time in the Cosmo penthouses and 2-bedroom Fairway Villa at Wynn and my personal preference would be Wynn.

The villas aren't as new as the Cosmo penthouse even with the renovations but they are still superior in comfort and style and in my opinion.

I look forward to reading your report and good luck.

    Cosmo

I will be staying at the Cosmo on the 11 th and 12th. You might want to stay at the Wynn as you don't want to keep hearing the hookers and blow chant as I clean up at the Cosmo's BJ and roulette tables during those two days!!

My man! Glad you are back and writing. I will be there with my family from the 15th to the 19th staying at Aria. Our craps games aren't compatible (you would hate my darkside), but let me know if you end up playing bac in the talon room and want some company. I will come over.

Only change in the last six months I can think of at those properties is that I think the comps have gotten better at Cosmo. I think I remember you having a bad experience with their comp system last spring or summer, but I think things have changed for the better. This past October, my host there told me that management was finally letting the marketing department cater to gamblers. As a result, they are doing more for bigger players, including a lot more free and promo play. Also, although not new, I learned that you can use your Identity points to shop retail at almost every store inside Cosmo (my host issued me a hard comp for about $1400 during my last trip there). I recall you liking the shopping comps at venetian.

But they are right about it being loud if you get the wrong suite. That club goes late into the evening.

Enjoy yourself. Cannot wait to read more!

Got me wondering if the business is buying weed, selling a condo, or a prostate exam?

I thought someone kicked up an old thread. Sweet to see you posting another TR!

Is the 1% FM bonus something new that Cosmo is offering or have they done that before? What UKFanatic is saying about them being more aggressive in catering to gamblers seems to be true from experiences he and others have posted, and there was also a reference to it in their latest quarterly report. So it would be cool to hear about the experience with them at your level of play.

    17 complete!

Looking forward to the Trip Report. I'll be in Vegas starting the 18th, so I'll have to catch the end upon my return.

Based on your previous trip reports, the Wynn has treated you better but perhaps Cosmo will step up to the plate for you based on UK's comments.

Anyway, looking forward to the Trip Report and welcome back to posting here!!!

Hope you make a small fortune Nate!

Curious if you will be changing your approach to roulette? Also, will you have a companion to minimize tilt sessions? I remember you discussing that in a previous report.

    Best of luck to you.
