Looking for a little help here. Me and my BF are both M Life players. Over the past several years, we have gotten really good offers from the Bellagio. We’ve each used our offers twice (on the same trips). I am a much stronger player than my BF (and our offers have always reflected that). In fact on our last stay at Bellagio in June I earned double the tier credits he did. I also go more frequently than he does - 3 trips in 2013 to his one trip.

Our original plan was to stay at MGM Grand next June and use our express comps to pay for a Terrace suite. Until Bellagio sent out the spring offers. My boyfriend got a kick butt offer - again. His offer was even better than the offer he had last spring.

My offer – well, I didn’t get one. I called a host who said it was probably just an oversight and said she would contact marketing. She got back to me this morning, and said marketing had given me an offer – which is far less than my boyfriend's offer – and far, far less than what I have received before.

So I am really looking for an idea here, of what I might have done to tank my offers - to go from exceptional offers to basically no offer at all, until I asked for one.

I didn’t short-play them. As I said, I earned double my boyfriend’s tier credits on our last stay there. If that’s the reason, my boyfriend’s offer certainly should have gone down and not up.

I don’t believe I was over comped, at least not in comparison to my boyfriend. The only thing different about our offers was the free play amounts. I had a much higher food comp – but never used it – so we were both "spent" the same amount on food.

I stayed at NY NY in November. Hit 3 hand pays totally 5K. Still managed to drop 4K of my own money, plus the 5K in winnings - all played at M Life properties, before the trip was over. Are they pissed because I stayed somewhere else. Because I won 3 hand pays?

I dropped in to Bellagio during this November trip and kindly left them with $1,000 of my money. Was this it – did I ruin my ADT?

    Any thoughts?

They seem to have "corporate" marketing and each hotel seems to have their marketing. Offers from hotel to hotel will vary depending on the push from management to either get MORE players in, or spend less on comps, and/or some combination thereof.

You had three trips. Maybe something in one of those lowered your theo.

And, if you played heavy at NYNY and low at Bellagio, Bellagio is not about to entice you back with a sweet comp if they think you will be playing at another casino.

Or, what happened to me once. Host booked my free show tickets a few weeks in advance. That triggered a "trip" in their system, and lowered my theo, since I did not play anything at all for that "trip".

    Hard to say.

Maybe that's it. I guess their systems can't differentiate between a trip when I'm staying there, and a quick visit. I always give them most of my play when I stay there. Apparently they don't like it when I just visit. But they won't have to worry about that anymore :)

Like you say, who knows. I appreciate the response.

I cannot figure it out. These casinos drive me mad. I fell off mlifes radar once after losing a bunch and no offers and I called and complained and now i am back on. I am often confused how some people who play far less than me and lose far less than me get better offers. I start to take it petsonally and take the casinos offer and short play them. I did this at wynn and now I am the one that loses as I get no offers. After my last cosmo trip where I covered my comps per the host I have not gotten an email while others with less play than me get free rooms. I had not planned to stay( did not want to hurt comps with smaller bankroll)until a host told me If i did not stay there in over a year my offers would dry up so i should just stay. If they dont send me something soon I will be offended.

Is your offer from NYNY good? I also get horrible corp offers from mlife compared to my bellagio offer. I also only dropped in at bellagio last trip and didnt stay and earned say 5k points. So it has been 5 months since my last trip. My previous offer was 100 fp 3 night bogo o tickets. My spring offer just cane and it is 3 nights 100 fp and 250 food.

Yes, very frustrating to think that a 2 hour visit during a different trip would tank my offers at the Bellagio. I wish I had the guts to use that Bellagio offer and short play them, but I just can't do that.

I only have one offer from Aria for Winter - that's it. I have no offers and I don't get the corporate offers anymore. I would imagine I will start getting offers from NY NY, but really have no desire to stay there again. I liked the hotel and the food choices, but as someone who tries to mostly play at their home casino (if on a comp), I just got bored with their casino. They really didn't have many machines I liked to play. One Siberian Storm machine - that's it.

But, my tentative plan for June is to stay in a nice suite at the Mirage using up a chunk of my express comps, and give my play to the Wynn/Venetian. I have never gambled at either place - as I've always tried to stay loyal to M Life. Ha ha ha.

They do not care if you are staying at their hotel, another hotel or in your car. It does not matter. Heck, many people stay at the hotel but never register (traveling companion registers instead). It just does not matter.

What the computer will see is your play. That play translates to a number or value to the casino. Offers are reflected in that number. This is pretty much their only way to value a customer. If they see you come visit and spend $50, then they value you as a $50 customer. Simple business.

I'm starting to wonder if winning really does play a factor into Mlife's offers. My buddy and I earned almost the same tier credits (all gaming, little from F&B spending) last trip. We both stayed at the Monte Carlo. I've been a loyal Mlifer for 10 years and he recently switched from CET to Mlife. We both had slightly above average tier credit accumulation.

I am receiving similar offers as I typically do from MLife (3 nights comped, $100 FP from MC/NYNY and 2-3 Sun-Thurs nights at MGM...those are the 3 places we mostly play). He is receiving nothing other than the standard "Gold rate discount". He previously received (and stayed) on offers similar to mine before this trip.

The only difference is he won about $2k where I lost.

Losses could matter. My cosmo host told me winninv vs losing impacted future comps

Josie, do you have a host at Bellagio? They should be able to hook you up with an offer based on previous play. They should be able to overlook one "low" day as they would know your true average.

A loss of 2k won't make much a difference though, losses come into play for the bigger players :)

Bellagio is rather unique - in that at least for us, our marketing offers were probably far better than a host would give you. Look at my BF - he earned 69,000 tier credits on his one stay in June of this year, and his offer is a suite, $450 in free play and $300 in food.

All the host that I contacted would do is have marketing generate an offer for me - which was worse than my BF's offer, far worse than what I had gotten previously - and I earned twice the tier credits of my BF.

Wow, he got that much for 69K? Sounds like it's more of an offer to entice him to come back more often, rather than an offer that he warrants; in my opinion. Question are your accounts linked? Could it be they have him the primary for some reason if they are linked?

No, we have been getting these really good marketing offers for several years now. Spring and fall are always the best ones. We have used them twice each on the same trips.

No we don't have linked accounts.

I suppose this is another Mlife offer mystery that makes little sense; I wish we could find rhyme or reason to how they interpret our play or decide what to extend to us :) It just doesn't make sense sometimes no matter which way we look at it sometimes.

Yes, apparently I'm being punished for a 2 hours visit where I dropped a grand. Maybe they could just give me my $1,000 back - and we can forget it ever happened.

I think that what you are seeing is true. From my experience, I stayed at the Bellagio last year and earned 140k tier credits while staying there at the Bellagio alone. So far my offer has been 79-105/night rates. I am guessing because I spread it out over the 10 days I was there. It would be nice to have a few free nights at any mlife property. It seems crazy to me that I am platinum with never having an offer for a free night at any property.

Apparently MGM has drawn a line in the sand--all starting with the Fall offers and now continuing with their Winter offers.

Seems they've cut their FP offers by some 40%.

That's the case with my offers.

    I was getting $700 FP, $250 F&B, a suite, and 2 generic show tickets.

That's with a Tier of 1,300,000--all slot play.

Now the Cheapskates have cut me down to $450 FP, and a $225 resort credit, and a suite...didn't even throw in the 2 generic show tickets.

    CET here I come.

Mlife offers are a mystery--I usually get 3 free nts and 100-200 freeplay in Vegas--we do go to Biloxi and get a lot more free play at the Beau Revage---but we stayed at the Mirage in Sept on a comp and earned about 60k in tier credits--we were ugraded to a penthouse suite at checkin---now I have received an offer for 3 nts in a suite-$300 freeplay-$500 resort credits and limo transfers--and of course grabbed it for Jan 19th---may as well injoy it as probably won't get another like it--so go figure
