Hello...Newbie here. I have a Total Rewards card, that I use at my local Harrah's and in A/C. I've noticed I can get a comp room for five nights (well 4 nights comp and 1 night at a really low rate) in the beginning of September. I'm curious as to how much money gambling am I expected to spend if I booked this. I now I will definitely spend time in the casino, but would also like to do some sightseeing in the area. I'm wondering if come the end of my stay would they charge me for the room, if I don't spend certain amount? I'm a slot player if that makes any difference.

Also, what property would you recommend. I'd like to be in the middle of things.

Thank you in advance for your responses!!!

    Play as normal
If you low play, you won't get that kind of offer again

They will not charge you because you low play

Have fun, don't worry about the offer. You don't owe them anything!

You're really cutting it close booking this now for September 2014. You should have booked it last week when all the rates were low.

They won't charge you if you low play or no play them. They give away hundreds of thousands of room nights every week, if they reneged on free rooms then they would eventually go out of business.

You will not be charged even if you NO play them.

Your future offers MIGHT drop. Might not.

Do not, repeat, do not just book rooms using only the offers. Use the rate calendar instead, after you log in of course. Most of the time you will do better.

I am also a low roller and have received offers for free rooms in AC usually at the lower end properties like Bally's and Showboat, Sundays-Thursdays only. I also received some offers for free rooms in Vegas at the Quad and Rio. But the best advice is offered by nostresshere and check the rate calendar when you log into your Total Rewards account.

As a side note, in the past, I would always wonder how so many folks on the board received these free room offers for minimal play. We would mostly gamble at Tropicana, Resorts or Atlantic Club in AC and we would get the typical Sunday-Thursday comps. But we started running some money through the slots at Bally's Wild West and at Paris when we were in Vegas. I am now getting emails from Caesars with free room offers. Same goes for Excalibur, we stayed there for three nights in the fall and I am getting offers for three free nights. I just received offers from the Riviera too.

Not to state the obvious to the Vegas Veterans out there, but to the low rollers like me, you may get offers for minimal play. It may not be at the Cosmo, Caesars, or Bellagio, but at a lower rated property,

Thank you all for your feedback!!! I went with the Flamingo for my room. I actually stayed there a few nights years ago when my brother got married at Caesar's. It was clean and I remember the location being good.

I found some inexpensive airfare with Spirit airlines. Even with all the nickel and diming it was less expensive then others and the flights are direct from Philadelphia.

You will like the property. By then all the new construction will be done....I hope and everything will be open around the flamingo. You can use your TR card at all the CET casinos in Las Vegas and it all counts for future comps. Hope you have a fun trip. I like the tropical smell they pump into the casino...

When I was a Diamond with CET, i would only get Sun-Thurs offers comped. Once i dropped CET, and didnt give them any money for close to a year, i now get Comped rooms at ANY properties any day of the week, up to 5 nights. Its funny, had they offered things like this to me as a Diamond player, i might not have dropped them like a hot potato. Apparently it takes a Gold Card to get the good deals with CET......which suits me just fine. :Þ

Offers are really tied to play/theo/adt for the most part. I am guessing sometime after making Diamond you did quite a few low play/no play visits and offers dropped off.

Then, you reappeared and they figured offering you rooms would give them a chance to get you back, and depending on the systems they use, maybe they noticed you were a Diamond before.

And, I assume you were booking via the rate calendar and not just offers before. Not unusual for even good players to only see limited comps via offers. I know many of my offers do not include weekends, but I can book any weekend, almost anytime with no problem.
