    My Trip Report

EDIT: WILL be live as of 12/26, just going to edit this top post.
As usual, it'll be the wife and I on this trip, driving down in a $20 a day rental car (more expensive than usual)
This trip consists of a lot of comps (all free rooms, 99% free food), and a total bankroll of $200 per day (I know it's weak, but we play 10-play 5c vP, so I think we'll be OK)

    THURSDAY:
The plan is to get out of Modesto at noon (pickup rental car from Avis; which HOPEFULLY is a Prius!)
We SHOULD be getting to MSS around 8pm. We've got a room for the night there, coupled with $20 dining credit...which we intend on using at 777 for dinner.
After dinner, the plan is to play between MSS and Cal to ensure future offers.

    FRIDAY:
Moving from MSS over to GoldCoast today, on a comped offer that includes two $10 dining credits (daily). We're either going to get the breakfast buffet at MSS, or if they're still doing it, a lunch comp at Chicago Brewing Co (4Queens).
We'll definitely be playing at Orleans today (I know we're staying at GC).
For dinner, we've got the Tournament of Kings scheduled for 6pm (wife's idea, but hey WTH)

    SATURDAY:
We'll eat the breakfast buffet at GoldCoast thanks to a $10 dining credit (and paying with Boyd points).
After that, we're going to pack up our stuff and move over to Tropicana, on a host comped 2-night offer.
There'll definitely be more playing at Orleans today.
Dinner will be at Mirage Buffet (thanks to MyVegas)

    SUNDAY:
For breakfast on sunday, there's no real plans, perhaps Ellis Island?
Today will be our day to walk the strip and drink Yards...I've got a BoGo Monorail pass so we can ride it back to MGM, so we don't have to walk so far.
Dinner tonight will be MGM Grand buffet (again, thanks to MyVegas)

    MONDAY:
    This will be leaving day:wave:

Sounds like a solid plan. Can you stick to it? I always have plans but then shit happens and I never do what I planned.

    Have a great trip!

Envelope method is the best - no matter a person's bankroll!

Love your plans - a free or nearly free trip is like winning upfront

    Good luck!

    Well, the trip is underway!
Had a little hold up at Avis, because the system was rejecting my coupon (when though it let me book it online) so my friend just did a manual override for the amount of the coupon, and away we went in our 2014 Chevy Cruze (with XM!)
Stopped by the bank to grab the bankroll and envelopes, lol.
Should be rolling into MSS around 8pm!
I'll probably post another update when we stop for gas on the road.
    VEGAS HERE WE COME!

Yup...wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and I said "to go to Vegas!"
So, I scrounged around and got free buffets from myvegas, and comped rooms, so the only thing were having to pay for is $140 for the rental car + gas (but with 38mpg, its not bad!) and the rest of the money I can gamble on!

    yaaay!
8:25 and we just passed Primm!! Almost freaking there!
    Shit, were dying of hunger!
Gonna drop bags in room at MSS and head straight for 777 to use up our $20 dining credit.

Thanks Doug! Hopefully my next update will include a nice winner!

Of course we get a shitty room (2 queen end of the hall on the extreme freeway/train side)
Ohh well, only here for one night then on to GC, where we'll get a better room, cuz well get there earlier...

Good food at 777 as always...wife had a Philly Cheesesteak, and I had the BBQ Chicken Pizza. (so much, I boxed it up and brought it up and put it in the fridge)
About to go get our gamble and our drink on and OFFICIALLY start this party weekend!

On a funny note...when we got out of the car here at MSS, I couldn't find my damn wallet (just had my ID and SS card in it) and I was like WTF?!?
LOL, wife comes over, reaches under my seat and grabs it...doh! Stupid pajama pants, nothing stays in the pockets!
Almost a real bad start to the weekend, lol.

Always good food at the 777, and the MSS buffet.

Surprised that while you are staying at the Gold Coast, you're going to play at the Orleans casino. The GC has good VP, and lots of BJ tables. We soured on the Orleans VP several trips back ... seemed like they had the machines rigged, and money just vanished.
And the table areas at the Orleans are always so crowded, I would almost get claustrophobia. Now, we just hit 'em for a couple MP's here & there, and leave ...

Have fun ... good luck !!

    Shit...i wish!
Envelope ran out of cash last night, lol...
Called it a night around 2:30am, down $200 (daily stake). Couldn't hit jack shit on video poker here at MSS...lol, I literally got dealt trip aces four times on 5-play DDB...DIDNT HIT A QUAD ONCE!!!
Gonna get up and get lunch either here at MSS buffet or GC buffet.

    Buddha,
We had equal luck at GC and Orleans...but we like the "vibe" at Orleans better...
