After celebrating my friend's 60th birthday downtown 4/7-4/9 I would like to stay on the strip 4/10-4/11 to get my mid-strip poker fix.

The Flamingo has a rate of about $38 on Thursday and $95 on Friday. Not bad. My questions is:

    • Should I book now?
    • If booked, how would I know if CET may offer better deals?

BTW, I am also open to Harrah's, The Quad, and Bally's, but they currently had higher rates.

    Thanks for suggestions!

CET is great about rescheduling at a lower rate....make your reservations any time & if you see a better deal, just call them with the info. They will change it without issue. I made our reservations for March 2014 in July 2013. Good luck!!

    sybgal & vegasqc ~

My problem in the past is that after I booked a CET room I would log onto my account and I would get a reply that I was already booked and other prices would not show. Ergo, this post.

Rates will not show up under your card # for those dates when you have made reservations but you may receive an email or reg. mail offer that could be better. Watch the board for folks that might post specials & codes to receive lower rates too.

Book, it won't get cheaper! If it does, maybe $5, $10 bucks? I mean how much lower can $38 go haha. April is an expensive time, that actually seems like a great deal.

True though you can really check up on it when you are logged in

I'm showing Harrah's comped both days, 4-10-4-11 using the rate calender on the TR web site. Book online and although you must enter a CC #, you won't be charged, it will say "zero". Then upon checkout you have the option of paying the resort fee (if applicable) by cash, CC, whatever.
I always book free rooms and in your case having Friday free is a bonus.
Be sure to enter your acct.# when you sign in.

You can log to your account but you have to use the calendar rate for all their vegas properties do not enter specific dates and just one hotel, or any of your offers and you will be fine

Thats how i have been doing it i have seen my rates dropped from 192$ to 180$,163$,119$ and 92$

For your dates im showing comp and 79$ at the Flamingo , harrahs and quad are even cheaper, ballys is higher

Are you searching on specific dates?
What about searching for offers because many offers are for a range of dates and who says you can't be going twice in the same month.
Try searching on just offers without specific dates.

If you weren't getting comped, you may not be getting 'offers' - so then do as vegasqc suggested. Just do 'reservations' - availability calendar - and set to a month that encompasses your dates. It will default on each property to the lowest room type, so if you are looking at a nicer room type, you will need to change that at the drop-down box at the top of the column. It will display all the props & the rates and you will be able to see if yours is cheaper.

You will need to call in to change the rates (I don't like to outright cancel online). No fee to do this as you can't change it online.

Again, and again. You have to look at rate calendar, not specific dates. Not offers.

Book sooner than later. Chances are rates will go up.

Depends if you have a Total Rewards/mLife card... I (lowest tier on both) can book these dates for ~$100/night for Flamingo/Harrah's/Quad or ~$90/night for Luxor/Excalibur. Without the membership, the rates might be higher...

Considering the better location on the strip, I might go with any of the CET properties...

Do you have a TR card from Caesars? If you do i'm showing $10 total for the 5th-7th+ resort fee at Harrah's.
If you don't, sign up for one and you may get offers. Always get cards from the casinos and sign up for their e-mail offers. Since you won't be going till April, look for the best offer as soon as you can, you can always change it if something better comes along.
If you want to stay on the Strip make sure you get a TR and Milife card, if you're trying to save as much money as you can, which you seem to want, i would suggest staying at CET properties. The Quad, Harrah's, and Flamingo would be your best bet considering Saturday is on your agenda.

I'm confused:eek: Where are you finding those rates? I have a TR membership when signed on to the TR site I see Harrah rates of $84 and $93 for April 5 and 6th? Are you looking at your own offers or am I missing something?

I you signed in? Make sure you are. Then use the "all Vegas hotels link" on the left of the screen. Put the dates on the calender you are going. You will see all the CET hotels, look at Harrah's, it's only $10.00.
I never use offers because i prefer free rooms. I always go Sun-Fri., however, your first night is comped, the second night it $10, the third is also comped.
Just click Harrah's on the left of this forum, that's the easiest way, then log into your acct. then update the calender to April 2014, and you will see it.

Correction: i was originally posting for another person who was going the middle of April. In your case it's showing $17 and $10, Sat/Sun. for April 5/6.
You must sign in correctly, before you do anything else.
For a Saturday arrival that's not bad.
And if you could wait till the following weekend, Harrah's is comped both days April 12/13.

Nope, I'm not seeing it lol. I'm signed in - it even has my name at the top of the page but I'm seeing $90 and $43 for April 12/13. It must be different for everybody??? Maybe because I've never stayed in any CET hotel? I'm stumped.

Well, that's possible. I'm the opposite, i only stay at CET properties. I am Gold, the lowest tier on the Caesars pole, but apparently having Gold has different levels, which i guess you're just one step below people who have no card.
I checked the calender without using my card and it does say rates are higher for the same dates and with yours a little cheaper because you signed up for the card.
Keep checking the calender, also, you may get some e-mail offers for the Spring. I'm getting e-mail offers up through March, so probably sometime in Jan/Feb you might see some offers start coming in for April.
