:confused2:Hmmm... very disappointing. Don't get me wrong. I'm grateful for any and all comps they throw my way, but I just don't understand the formula they use. It doesn't make sense to me.

We visited Vegas in Oct 2012. We stayed for 5 days and DH and I, together, probably dropped about $10k out of pocket. In the months following, the MLife site consistently showed me offers for $1200 fp, 3 nights suite, $500 resort credit and 2 MGM show tickets. Nice offer, right? Well, it was a year before we could make it back to Vegas, and we did take advantage of the above offer in October 2013. This time we stayed for 6 nights and, between the two of us, dropped over $13k out of pocket.

We plan to go back in March 2014 for a friend's birthday, so I have been obsessively checking the MLife site. Today my winter offer appeared, alongside the fall offer described above that is still valid until Dec 29. Aggravating thing is, the winter offer, valid til the end of March 2014, is only $600 fp, 3 nights suite, two show tickets and $100 resort credit. Why do you suppose, after just gracing them with $13k, they would cut the fp in half and the resort credit by 80%? I just don't get it and it's making me think that Hawaii in March sounds like a good idea.

i dunno. What do you think?

I am thinking that with summer and fall offers like those your play must have been pretty good in Oct 2012. Were you contacted by a host in Oct 2012? If not, you should have one. Call the Mlife property you want to stay at, ask to speak to a host, and see what they will offer. If the host accepts you as a client, the offer from the host will most likely exceed the corporate Mlife offer.

PS, FWIW, my Summer and Fall offers are always better than my Winter and Spring Offers from Mlife.

My guess would be your winter offers don't reflect your play in October.

For instance the bulk of my play came in July. My fall offer was the exact same and I was a little discouraged. Now my winter offer has come and reflects my play more. I think the mlife system is one cycle behind. Your spring offer will probably be better.

The number one problem casinos have is rating table play. In the age of
Computers it's so easy to track slot play but tables games are not a science. The only machine used at the black jack tables is the auto shuffle. You would make a ton of money if you could come up with a way to track play. The pit
Boss coming around once every 15 min doesn't work. Casinos lose tons of money each year over comping players and under as those players take their play somewhere else. That's what I have seen the past 10 years of my gambling. I'm guessing you played mostly table games and they just didn't track your average bet very well. Just my two cents on casinos in 2014. Nothing has changed from the last 50 years in rating table games except one thing. Our perception that casinos in 2013 should be able to correctly track our play with the use of technology.

offers are not based on how much you win or loose - it is you time and level of play. Also, casinos prefer gamblers who come multiple times a year.

My MLife Winter Offer is literally nothing. Its a special rate and nothing else. I thought it must be some mistake, but it says that is my MLife Winter Offer.

I don't get it. I know my theo is fairly low but I still play enough to earn platinum in a single trip. I have 20k lines at various MGM props and play $200+ BJ and $5 sometimes $10 VP at max-coin.

My hosts have put me up in nice suites at Aria and MGM for my level of play. But I've also always had them book me through the corporate offers and just upgrade the room. Now there is nothing on a corporate offer to use. I have a separate MGM offer from before that expires in March for 4 nights plus resort credit. Its an offer that can be booked online and I'll probably just use it for this weekend if I decide to fly out for a friend's bachelor party. I won't even go through my host. After that is used up I will have nothing on MLife offering me a comped room anywhere.

If I go this weekend I might swing by Wynn and try to "re-activate" myself there since I can't count on anything upfront from MGM now, I'll have to depend on the hosts for anything which I'm not really comfortable with at my level of play.

Haha mine is for $10 in freeplay, and BOGO rooms at resorts I haven't stayed at in 5 years. I have no idea how they decide these things.

Agreed.. my biggest play was in July, and my fall offer had nothing at all. I'm a pretty low roller (just hit Pearl), this is the best deal I've gotten from them (this is good for me). Kinda odd they would do that. If they appreciate me shouldn't they want me to come back immediately? I guess everyone travels differently.

Anyways, mine say till March 31st?

Sounds familiar! My most recent play was in August. No fall offer. My winter offer is $10 in free play, reduced rates at Bellagio, Aria, Mirage, MB, and MGM, and BOGO at NYNY, MC, Luxor, Excalibur.

I have no clue how they figure what comp a player should receive and I don't know what kind of gambling you were doing, but I would almost say your original offers were very generous...maybe more than warranted. I can easily drop 15k in a 5 day period, playing green chips on UTH and my standard offers are nowhere near your original offer. So, unless your avg bet, theo, adt, or whatever the correct term is, is pretty high up there, maybe your offers just adjusted to the level of your play.

I got the exact same offer. This was after trips of 30k-40k tier credits each in June and September, and 70k in November (all 2-day trips). The play was on $1video poker, assorted reel slots, $50 blackjack, and $10 craps. There was a lot of poker in there too, but I'm not sure we get tier credits for that.

Also, my casino-specific offers stopped coming in the last 2 months.

I guess the Mlife supercomputers just lump us all into category. It's probably called "mid-roller low-theo trash".

Strange, I never received any good offers until this winter offer. But now I have 3 days comped suite, 300$ Freeplay and 175 Mlife$, except at aria and Bellagio (standard room).
Played about 140k tier credits in september and 90k in November. But I never received any mails from mlife since 2011.

I haven't received my winter offer yet. After two trips this year of higher than normal play (and one recent no-play trip), I was expecting some better offers than I normally get. But I haven't gotten anything.

Just got my winter offers. No email or mailers, just checked my mlife account online and it was there.

I don't have any winter offers yet. I still have offers that go through 1/26/14. I'm assuming new offers will show up once those expire.

Same thing with me for some reason, I didn't get any overall fall offers for MGM brands, but got the MGM-specific one a couple of days ago - which is fine with me in that that's my preferred hotel/casino anyway, but I would like to see what the general corporate offers are just as a way of comparing things.

I got winter offers from Aria and MB. Same usual ones 3 nights comped with resort credit. It's funny I still receive these offers since the last 3-4 times I went to Vegas, I lowed played my corporate offers with virtually no play.
