So I just got word that they did (2) rooms each with a different style of how they want to remodel the rest of the hotel rooms. A friend of mine who works there will let me check them out and take pics and send them on over here when I check in Dec 18th. Woohoo! I hope some of you are as interested in this as I am haha

Definitely interested, looking forward to seeing what they do. Heck, if the rooms get remodeled, I'd actually consider staying there, maybe.

My guess is that they will be a lot like the Flaming-O Fab rooms.

Done with minimal money and made easier to clean, i.e. no carpet!!

How can they get rid of basically the only thing that set apart the Quad from the rest of the strip..... its reputation for having the most disgusting rooms in Vegas. I , for one, will be deeply saddened to see them go. I wonder, now, if people who actually give a crap about the rooms condition, might actually go there? ......... no way !

    that is all !

I don't know. These rooms have been seriously neglected for years, even by the prior owners of IP. I think we will see something along the line of Bally's redo. I thought they had committed around 50 million for property refresh.

This property is being marketed as the 20 something bargain party spot, I think it will compete head to head with PHo internally at CET. They target almost the same demographic but Quad is at a slightly lower cost level.

Since they want to steal business from MGM, I would expect them to try to compete head to head against NYNY and Excalibur tier of properties.

The same firm that did Flamingo and Paris room remodel is doing the Quad, Cagley | Tanner is their name. I would expect design style along the lines of AC revel but cheaper, since they designed for that project in AC.

People have been staying in the renovated rooms at least since late November. It's little by little....

I would hope that they do an extensive reno but the reality is their regular customers have been complaining that they don't want higher room prices. I wonder if they are ready to pursue a new customer base, maximize on the Linq and go after the highest room rates possible or keep it on the cheap to keep their regulars satisfied. I bet they were doing well against the lowest tier MGM properties before the resort fees just coasting on location. If the Linq takes off, they will be able to do that again. Two room layouts does suggest to me that they will have two real different room tiers, not just old or older.

What i will hope for as a Gold card holder, is for the (CET), to continue to comp loyal customers on their lower end properties like Harrah's and Quad and then Flamingo and Bally's. I would like a light makeover for the rooms and hallways with new carpets, a remodeled bathroom, some new elevators, and some fresh paint.
The Quad will still be the cheapest room on the mid Strip, and i think a modest makeover will be sufficient to keep it on my list along with Flamingo and Bally's.

If people have been staying in the refreshed rooms since November....where's the pics? I'm looking around and usually there's some kind of traveler photo of the room...but I don't see any. I feel like I desperately need to see these refreshed rooms. It would be like seeing Santa or a unicorn or Santa riding a unicorn.

I think CET is actively looking to upsell this property. If you remember the old master plan this property was originally part of a flamingo expansion. Since the Quad is at the center of Linq and the redo's of common areas, restos, sports book this place will be moved up in the CET portfolio as soon as people forget about what a dump the IP was. Major rebranding and room changes will do that. Now if they do something with the pagodas on the building edges and give the towers a nice coat of paint like Bills this place could look pretty nice.

I agree with this, there's a lot of younger visitors that don't have any history and perception of the original IP which gives CET an opportunity to transform the property into something more chic. From my perspective, I'm glad to see the improvements but I hope it remains a low cost option.

On my recent trip I couldn't help but notice the blandness of the of the new Linq casino facade from across the street. It's painted in very drab gray and off-white which is very boring, especially by Vegas standards. Then need some neon/video signs and some color that says this is a cool place. Maybe that's coming but right now it's but ugly IMO.

I don't see them keeping the Quad a "low cost option" If they invest in a re-model, they may want to re-coup their investment. So we can expect an increase in the room costs.

I am already seeing room rates at the Quad being higher than Harrah's. Some of the prices that I have seen, I would not pay to stay at the Quad.

They may re-brand it, but they also may drive away some of their loyal customers.
