looking for any comments ..good/bad about this hotel
am going to stay there 2 nights in dec , got a killer rate and decided to try it out
I think the casino looks better than most in tunica and the rooms look very good in pictures
casino does have too many old slot machines though
I just got back from 3 nights at sams town ... now I like to gamble there , but the rooms really sucked
I will not go back there to stay
this last trip was the worst I ever had , could not win anything , slots were so tight
I could have thrown my money on the floor and got the same result
does anyone think the steakhouse at Horseshoe is a must try ?

I usually stay at the Horseshoe or GoldStrike. The rooms are much nicer than Sams Town. I like staying there because you are a short walk from 2 other casinos. I do not play slots, but I think they are tight everywhere in tunica.
They have 8 craps tables and they are usually all going on the weekends.
The buffet is very good as is the one at Gold Strike. I like the Steakhouse at Horseshoe and GoldStrike.

I have reservations there on 12/13-15

Big step up from Sam's Town. I would say its the third best resort in Tunica. Casino is ok. If you play tables, the noise form the live band at the bar can get too loud at times. The food is decent, although not quite as goo as GoldStrike. And if you are a poker player, be aware that the room is being renovated at the moment

We stayed overnight at the Horseshoe last year and I was impressed with the room. I think it was some kind of suite because it had a separate area with another TV. We only stayed one night but the wife did pretty good on the penny slots. I hit double diamond/double diamond/triple bar on back to back spins the morning we left. They had a burger place called Ounce which had pretty good food. It was nice that there were two other casinos within easy walking.

I like Harrahs also, but I prefer staying at the Horseshoe and GS because if I am doing bad I can change casinos quicker. I hated when Paula Deen Buffet changed I thought it was the best Buffet.

Agree 100%. There is not a lot of separation between the three in terms of quality, but I feel GS and harrahs are a smidge better

I agree, also, though back when Road House was Sheraton, and the rooms were kept up (newer), you couldn't beat them (assuming you were with your w/gf, two dudes would be a hell no).

    thanks for all the input
sams town rooms were truly a disappointment ...considering what I paid
I am gonna hit the craps table pretty hard this trip....
its funny that harrahs gets mentioned as a top 3 , I like the hotel but something about the casino just doesn't do it for me
I tend to play elsewhere .....maybe the color scheme ? I dunno
