Near Cosmopolitan there isn't really going to be any. There will be stores where you can pick up alcohol (Walgreens or ABC Store at Planet Hollywood, that little store behind Bill's/across street from Bally's).

There is that little liquor store at Flamingo (the one that used to be at Carnival Court) but they are mostly just a beer store with a few extras.

If you go south down The Strip there is "The Spirit Shop" at Excalibur and then further down there is a liquor store across the street from Mandalay Bay.

Ok this is sort of on the subject. Is the price difference even that much of a difference between lets say an abc store on the way from the airport then a liquor store in a casino ie excalibur or planet Hollywood? Are we talking a 20 percent increase or more like pennies.

Usually when people ask specifically for liquor stores they are more looking for a store with a good selection of something, IE: wine.

But if you are looking for something like a case of "Bud" for the hotel room the ABC and Walgreens stores will be fine - you might pay a little more than you would at a liquor store, but you won't save enough to cover the cost of cab fare to go to a liquor store and since they are ABC stores and Walgreens you can pick up a lot of other supplies for the room in one stop. Of course the big convenience here is that there are lots of Walgreens and ABC stores on The Strip and Downtown now.

The Spirit Shoppe at Excalibur actually has some decent prices on alcohol and a pretty good selection, but is pretty comparably priced for things like canned beer and soft drinks to other hotel gift shops.

Very large Walgreens right across from COSMO. Two story store, with a walk in beer cooler to start with.

Then, down the street by Harley place, there are lots of little store selling stuff.

How good a selection do the actual liquor stores have?

On my trip were gonna grab a bottle of Jameson a bottle of tequila and a bottle of macellan 18 year. I'm thinking the scotch might be hard to find or might be completely gouging me.

Would stopping by a luckys or bevmo on the way from the airport be cheaper?

If you want good prices and a good selection, you have to venture off the Strip. I usually do my big party booze purchase at Lee's Discount Liquor. It's not too far away, but you'll need a car to get there.

There is a Lee's on the Strip (up by Riviera) Not sure how the selection there compares to some of their larger off-Strip locations, but at least you could get there easily by bus if you don't have a rental car:peace:

    Shuttle To Orleans

Someone may have more current info but last time I stayed at Caesars I hopped across the street and took the free shuttle from Bill's to the Orleans. The Orleans has a Terrible's liquor store in it and it's normal prices and a decent selection.

I did this earlier in the day, quick and easy back and forth......plus the Orleans has better football odds
