    Hey all:

I'm going on a solo trip this month, and am coming up with interesting challenges to amuse myself. My first day's challenge is going to be to drink at least one (preferably free) drink for every color of the rainbow, and then some.

Here's what I'm thinking so far! Where I know a casino has a particularly good drink, I bracketed it.

Red: Bloody Mary [cosmo] or Strawberry Daiquiri [M Resort]/[Paris Diamond Lounge]
    Orange: Mimosa [Encore]
    Yellow: Lemon Drop Martini [Cosmo]
Green: Mojito with extra mint --- but this may not be green enough. Suggestions?
    Blue: ???
    Indigo: Wine
    Violet: ???
    White: White Russian
    Black: Irish Coffee
    Brown: Chocolate Martini [cosmo]
    Clear: Blueberry Vodka with Soda.

Suggestions for better drinks? Additional colors?! Challenges for day two (after :vomit:)

    Cheers!

Sounds like your going to have a blast.
Here are a few ideas for colors...

    Blue - Alaska Iced Tea
    Orange/Red - Tequila Sunrise
    Brown/Clear - Rattlesnake

I hope you don't end up rainbow puking after all those drinks!

I would ask a bartender to make me an actual Rainbow Shot. If you do a quick google search you'll see a few pics and videos. It's pretty cool. It would be easier anyhow. I'm all about easy. Easy and cheap, like I like my men. I'm sorry, I'm sleep deprived and medicated at the moment. Good luck with it, please let us know how it goes.

Your challenge for day 2 is getting out of bed/off the bathroom floor! Seriously...thinking about all those drinks makes me :vomit:

With that being said...wish I could join you in this challenge:drunk:

I'm constantly being amazed by the things some people find amusing or challenging in Vegas! :) Hell, mine's just trying to win. I'll overlook black and brown as not being in the rainbow (at least non-Vegas rainbows), but you might want to consider Madori melon liqueur for a most definitely green drink. There are no fewer than 283 recipes for it at www.webtender.com/db/ingred/146 I like mojitos too, but unless it contains a lot more mint than what's usually found, it's basically clear.

The last time I ordered a morning mimosa, the bartender was kind enough to point out that it was a definite "man violation!" From then on, the only time I have one (or more) is if I'm with Ms. Gecko who does the ordering! Screwdrivers should suffice nicely for orange, although they're usually more yellow. Try a Mai Tai for orange.

Yeah, this is really dumb … so maybe I'll try it too next week! Have a great trip!

Ha! Thanks for the Midori suggestion. It's definitely on the list now! And I think the ship sailed on my "man violation" when I added strawberry daiquiri to the list!!

The Paris has some Green drink called Tokoyo Tea, or something like that. Very potent.

Yeah – I noticed that, but didn't want to say anything! :) For blue, there's always Blue Hawaii, although that doesn't sound all that more manly than the strawberry daiquiri! Just Google "(your choice of color) liquor drinks" and you'll be inundated with suggestions. So many choices – so little time.
