Looking for a place to watch the Redskins game on the 17th. Will be checking in close to the start of the game and don't want to travel too far if possible. The sports book room (not sure if they even have one) won't work as I'm not planning on betting. Any suggestions are appreciated.

You don't have to bet when you're in the sports book. It has been a while since I've been, but if I remember correctly Mandalay Bay's sports book is massive. That would be my first choice for watching the game. Otherwise, I'm not familiar with sports bars within MB.

Oh, I was under the impression you had to bet in the sports book rooms. Never been to one, so I really don't know much, obviously

You don't have to bet. Without betting, you will have to pay for drinks from the waitress, unless you sit down at a machine and put some money in get a drink and then walk back to the sports book.

I use to play poker on at the Bay when staying in Vegas and it was super awesome bc sometimes you'd have a seat facing the sportsbook and its the best of both worlds. Its def a large sportsbook. Nothing glitzy but you sure don't have to bet to watch but you'd def love it. Off your right shoulder their is a bar behind you and off your left shoulder is a food window for ordering sandwiches and things.

Most the bars have football games running as well. If you are playing V/P,they will comp you drinks.

Hard to say what games will be on at each bar, but the sports book will have many more.

If you want a true sportsbar feel and don't mind a little walk, Blondies in the miracle mile at Planet Hollywood is pretty nice and had good wings when i was there

At Mandalay Bay, you can watch in the very large sportsbook. At the property you can also watch at the bars in the center of the casino and there are TVs set up near (at least) the craps pit and the high limit tables. Finally, I have watched big sporting events at TVs they set up at the coffee bar just outside the main elevator bank. Not sure if they set TVs up just for regular sunday NFL, but I have always liked watching big events there because it is away from the crowds

Mandalay is still my favorite sports book. If you get one of the video poker machines at the bar facing the screens, like mentioned above, it's the best of both worlds. Free drinks for a $20 day of play. Absolutely fantastic. No need to bet to get a seat. Just get there early on game days!

MB Sportsbook is our favorite, too. Awesome bartenders (Pam rocks) and cocktail waitresses (Terri is amazing). We've spent countless hours in that book over the years - mostly to watch NCAA (men's basketball) and NFL games.
