On a recent trip to Vegas I went to two businesses that are featured on TV, both are shot in Vegas. Ricks Restoration shown on the History Channel and ATM, show is called Tanked on the Animal Channel. I have also been to Gold and Silver Pawn shop shown on the History Channel.
Rick restoration was a nice visit with a tour of the facility and we got to see and meet Rick’s brother and seen several others that are on the show. Rick was filming behind the fence and we could see the film crew and actually here Rick talking about restoring an old iron lung for a customer. It was located around the vicinity of the Stratosphere Casino and close in proximity to the Gold and Silver Pawn shop.
ATM site is vicinity of Las Vegas welcome sign. We got to go on a tour and meet Wayde’s wife Heather. She was really sweet and talked about the show and let us take pictures with her etc.
So if you are a fan of the shows go and see them all.

If you are a fan of The Count (the car expert featured on Pawn Stars whose own show, Counting Cars, is a lot of fun), his shop in right off Industrial right behind Circus Circus. It is a fun shop to tour -- I went in December and the place wasn't overrun with tourists like the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop typically is. All the guys from the show were there working and there was a good selection of merchandise to buy. Lots of really neat cars, including his Lamborghinis and his famous custom hearse.

I had my non-gambling parents in town, so one day we went to Gold and Silver, to Bauman's Rare Books at Palazzo (home of Rebecca, the book expert from Pawn Stars, who is friendly, smart, and very cute) to Rick's Restorations, and to Count's Customs. It was a very fun morning, and all those places are easy to find.

Rick's Restoration is just South of Charleston right on the railroad tracks and the East side of the Freeway. Like Old Army said, they have a nice little facility and it is still very much a working shop. They have a bunch of their projects from the show on display. Rick's Restorations is still a hidden treasure -- not a lot of people going there yet. You'll recognize all the characters from the show, who will be painting and buffing and working right there in front of you. There is a place on the tour where you watch through a plexiglass window, and it feels just a little bit like going to the zoo, but overall it is a very fun experience. When you see the stuff they restore in person, it is very impressive.

Gold and Silver is a little ways north of the Stratosphere on the Strip (note that you have to pay attention to stay on the strip just North of The STRAT . You need to veer right when the big road is veering left) It's about 2/3 of the way from the Strat to Fremont Street. It's not much to see, and the last four or five times I've been there, people have been lined up all the way down the block to get in (this is even worse on filming days). Still, it is fun to go into, even if your chances of seeing Rick, the Old Man, Corey, and Chumlee are pretty slim. I'm shocked that they haven't set up a T-shirt kiosk outside the store -- they could rake in the dough from people looking for a simple shirt and photo in front of their sign.

Next trip I will see the count. Pawn shop guys are all stars now, have tried them twice and not a single person on the show has been working.

I made it to Rick's on my last trip and Counts, both owners were at the respective business and both were working. I have been to Gold and Silver several times an have never seen any of the show/cast members. If you are visiting Rick's, give some thought to stopping in at the metal fabricating/iron works shop that shares his parking lot. They have some really cool stuff.

I have been to each (G&S Pawn, Rick's and Count's) twice. The only person from TV at the pawn shop either visit was Antoine the bouncer. I got to chat, shake hands and take a pic with Rick on my first visit, he was also there on my second visit, and in two visits I have seen almost every "cast" member from American Restoration. In my two visits to Count's Kustoms I have seen about half the "cast" of Counting Cars, but have yet to see Danny.

If you can only do one, I'd say Rick's Restorations was the best overall experience. Here's my write-up from my first visit there (there are links to my visits to the others from there) http://LasVegasOffStrip.com/ricks-restorations-reality-tv-take-two/

Thanks for the 411 on this. I really want to try and see Counts this trip. Of all the TV shows this is the one I enjoy the most. Staying at the Strat and have a rental car so should be easy to find. If time permits I might try to make it over to Ricks Restoration. No desire for the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop been past it once that was enough.

Oldarmy- how was ATM? Tanked is one of my favorite shows on TV. Love it and that Agnes on there is easily the hottest Agnes on the planet.

    BTW, my experiences:

5 trips to Pawn Stars shop. I haven't seen anyone on the show, but my gf and brother seen the old man last april.

1 trip to Ricks. I seen Kyle, Tyler and Cowboy. I was on my way to the Strat a few days later and Tyler drove that 56 Ford by me like I was sitting still.

1 trip to Counts. Seen Scott and he welcomed me to the shop. Didn't see anyone else.

Of these I really like Counts the best. They encourage photos and the tour is seemingly dead. I think there was maybe 2 other ppl in there when I was.

I will seek out ATM next time. One little piece of advice- the car I had was a Chrysler 300 with in dash navigation and it took me to Ricks old shop, which was out in the middle of nowhere and way out of the way, so make sure you go to the right one.

ATM/Tanked was a nice visit. Heather talked to me and the wife she is really a sweet person. Wayed and Brett was on location in Florida when we were at the shop. We did see Robbie the Redneck. They have a small tour with gift shop. They invite the cast out to visit with the group once the tour is complete. Agnes had left early that day.. You make an excellent point go to the website and confirm the address before you set out. I relied on yelp and I went to two different ATM locations that they had moved from.

Five minutes from Count's Kustoms, too. The Strat is the perfect hotel for a TV tour.

Has anyone been to Counts Custom or Rick's Restoration recently? My husband would like to visit during our trip in October.

Would we still be able to tour their facilities? Have they gotten too croweded like the Gold & Silver?

    Any info would be great.

    Thanks.

I do love seeing the cops from Vegas Strip working. They're generally pretty cool.

Valerie Jo, I was at both places a few months ago. Rick's did have organized tours that allowed for photos and I saw Rick, his wife and son all working and later taking photos. http://www.ricksrestorations.com/

We ran to Counts and it is split into different buildings within an industrial park. Some of his cars are on display but I don't recall an organized tour. Just checked their site and it appears to be pretty much like when I was there:

Thanks XMarksX for answering my questions. I guess we'll head over and check them out since we'll have a rental car. I appreciate your response. :peace:

Valerie Jo, closer to Rick's is a newer bar called the Velveteen Rabbit that was recommended by one of the bartenders at Park on Fremont, we drove by it and it looked cool but were both kind of tired. If you have the rental, you might stop by. Not sure if it's a hipster place or if it is just a cool bar. Yelp has quite a lot of love for it:

I'm stopping at the Strat and will be taking a visit to Counts, is it within walking distance or is it a quick taxi ride.

I went to Count's Kustoms on my recent visit and thought it was great, even seen Roli there, a nice collection of cars and bikes and some that I had seen on the show, I was stopping at the Stratosphere so was about a $8 cab ride there and I just walked it back to the Strat when I had finished.
