Vegas week of 12/9: Harrahs or The D for rodeo/country week?

Wondering where to stay for Rodeo and ACA Awards.
Thinking there may be some free country concerts downtown?

I stayed at Harrah's for rodeo week by chance and was there for the last Saturday and Toby Keith's was one of the best times I have had. I believe it is fairly average every other week of the year but rodeo week draws in quite the crowd.

Can't beat the good rates and amazing location. I would base it off if you prefer strip or downtown in the end.

 

I'm partial to Harrah's - given the combo of the great location, good rates and decent rooms. Haven't been during the Rodeo, but will be in town the week after and am booked in a petite suite.

Done Harrahs last 2 trips. Side note on Toby Keith's bar, Thursday night is ladies night where it is $20 all you can drink wells and drafts. Pretty crowded night when we were there in July, can't imagne when something major is occuring.
