The wife & I were thinking of catching the Eagles concert at the MGM in February 2014. We are big fans but never seen them live. Would love to hear some comments especially from the folks from this board. I know they've been touring around the country/ world and assume it will be the same when they come to Vegas but I've never been to MGM's arena. First, did you enjoy the concert and is the arena a good place to see them? Thanks!

I am in the same boat as you being a long time fan but missed seeing them over the years. I‘ve bittten the bullet and am going to see them both nights.

I like the venue...good seats all around from my experience.

they sound excatly like there records live, its a sit down concert so people compare it to taking a valium its so laid back and some say boring.

if your fan theres no reson not to go just expect straight ahead rock n roll songs no gimmicks.

    hope that helps

I went to see them last November at the MGM and it was something I will never forget. They do their songs obviously, but also do about 5 Joe Walsh/James Gang songs and 5-6 Don Henley solo songs. One regret is I looked at t shirts before the show started and thought I will wait until shows over so I didn't have to lug a shirt around, but after the show all the XL shirts were gone. I would not hesitate one bit to go see them again.

We saw them in ICT a couple weeks ago. Slow start but quickly got to amazing as they brought out more members. As has been mentioned it's all about the music, not a lot of flash. I'd go back.

MGM Grand is a very good concert venue. Sound and sightlines are good. I haven't attended an Eagles concert, but saw Jimmy Buffett there. I could hear the music and see the stage very well, even though everybody was standing and most people were singing along.

Not sure what would be the point of twice, same setlist but nights.

I have never been to MGM grand but i have seen the eagles live. We were in an outside stadium so it was awesome.

If you are looking for a show that is all about the music, not all the other fancy stuff ac/dc does than you would love this show. It can get long & boring at times, but that is the way some of their music is. I am not an eagles fan (not my style) but i had a blast with my mom and knew most of the songs.

Paper poster, this is right up my alley! Being in the same age group with Glen Frey & Don Henley, a sit down concert sounds great and I'm sure we won't be bored...we grew up with their music. Sounds like I better save up for this appears to be a go after all these positive posts. Thanks all!

We saw the Eagles at MGM in March 2013. The music was great. Hubby enjoyed it so much he wants to see them in 2014.

I've never seen the Eagles live but I love their music. It's as good an excuse as any to book another vegas trip.

But then again Bruce is planing in Australia in February - I could kill two bucket list items in one trip. Just dreaming ...

I'll chime in here as well. We saw The Rolling Stones there a few years ago. I like the venue, it's a nice place to see a show. However, it seemed a bit of a walk from the casino if I remember...they make you go thru a shopping area I believe. All in all, I'd go there again for a show. One thing, if you don't stay there and you valet, expect a long wait for your car. Luckily, we were staying across the street at Desert Rose and were back in our room relaxing while people still waiting for their cars....

Seems like a lot to spend to see an oldies band. I used to like them about 30 or 40 years ago. Maybe someday they'll play one of the station casinos for 30 bucks.
