Maybe Heritage Steak, the new Tom Colicchio steakhouse? I'll be there next Sunday for the first time so I can't exactly give it a recommendation.

Otherwise, I'd suggest eating at another resort close to Mirage, maybe Venetian/Palazzo, where Bouchon and Cut are both very good. There are many, many restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk.

I'm a pretty big fan of stack. It's a little louder than your traditional steakhouse but it's fun and the foods good. I think they have a pre show deal, but the regular menu is reasonably priced as

Best meals we've had at Mirage

    1. Heritage steak - the short rib was so tender and flavourful
    2. Stack - Pork Chop was awesome
    3. BLT burger - our fave burger joint in town!

We didn't really like Cravings. CPK and Carnegie are ok as well.

Joe's Seafood Steak and Stone Crab in the Forum Shoppes is a very short walk to the Mirage. Out the door of the mall toward the Strip and up the sidwalk by Rhumbar. Should take less than 5 minutes to be in the Mirage. Large menu with a good variety and a good value. We saw the early Love show and had a great dinner afterwards.

I'm a big fan of Stack as well. The sea bass (with a side of mashed potatoes) is one of my favorite single dishes in Vegas; I once ate it four nights in a row while recovering from a bachelor party.

Another vote for Stack. Probably the best steak I have ever had in my life. Literally melted in my mouth. Wine selection is very good as well (had a nice Pinot Noir). Like someone mentioned, music is a bit loud but the lighting and ambiance (sp?) is very nice. 5 stars in my book.

PS: I walked up to the front desk at 11am and got a reservation for 7pm that same evening and it was a Saturday evening.
