I've walked from The STRAT to the old Sahara Monorail station. It's maybe a 10 minute walk, and of course you can no longer go through the casino.

I wouldn't want to do it late at night, however.

I do that walk regularly. It's well lighted at night and there's frequent passing traffic - so few personal safety concerns. The locals I know who live in Allure and Turnberry Tower condos use that monorail station as well. They report the usual encounters with beggars (which can be said for most of Las Vegas).

wife and I walked from the monorail at lvh to riviera a couple of years ago and it seemed like a hell of a hike but mind you it was 100 degrees out.
    has anyone tried this?

by the way lvh gives you $15 slot play for new signups and another $10 to give them your email.

I've done this and it isn't bad at all since you can enter the Riv way back at the registration entrance. So basically crossing one street and a parking lot. :peace:

I have done the Sahara monorail to Stratosphere walk a few times. As a woman on her own I found it absolutely fine. Obviously, look street smart and like you know where you're going!

I,ve done the LVH to Riviera walk, and as all things vegas, it is further than it looks!! took me about 15 mins at a regular pace, I guess it would be the same Sahara monrail to Strat.

We (GF and I) did that walk in the evening about a year ago. The sketchiest part is getting out of the monorail and heading on your way. Its pretty much empty at night with a bum or two hanging out at the exit.

I wouldn't recommend a solo woman doing it at night.

Did the walk from Sahara station to Stratopshere last july at about 9PM. We walked past the long side of the old Sahara and it was pretty scary, there were just a few lights and someone walked very close behind us. Nothing happened in the end but we did not feel safe and for this reason we took on our way back the LV Blvd all the way to Circus Circus and entered the monorail at LVH.

Did the walk during my October trip. No problems, never wad worried. Other than the guy manning the desk at the wedding chapel you pass, who looked like a serial killer right out of the movies....creepy.
