Hello folks. We are going to be in Vegas from Thu Oct 31 until Sun Nov 3 (depart in the afternoon) for a bachelor party. We have booked 3 nights of bottle service at clubs (Thu Haze for Halloween, Friday Spearmint Rhino and once we are done Hakkasan, Sat during the day at Ghost Bar Day Club and at night at Marquee). A few of the guys want to catch shows on Thur and Fri but some want to grab a drink before the club. I am looking for a bar/lounge with a nice view (have been to Ghost Bar and will be going there for their day party on Saturday) and or a specialty one (e.g. Minus 5,I have never been, has anyone been)?
Thank you so much in advance for any tips and suggestions

Voodoo Lounge at Rio (off-Strip) but great view of the Strip and area from the 50th floor.

Also, the Lobby Bar at Mandarin Oriental on the Strip (23rd Fl)

Minus5 is a bit of a gimmick. I second the suggestion of Foundation Room, which is one of my favorite places in town, and Mandarin Oriental is fantastic is well; based on your schedule, I'd say do MO on Thursday before Haze (since they're both in CityCenter), and then Foundation Room on Friday before Hakkasan.

So checking out Minus5 is not a good idea?

It's not a bad idea, but it's not a good idea. The thing is that it's not a normal bar; either you pay an entry fee and then buy expensive drinks, or you buy packages that include some combination of entry, cocktails, and photos. Plus it's literally freezing in there (the whole schtick of the bar), so it's not like you can stay and hang out for that long.

Basically, it sounds much more interesting than it actually is.
