    I love the Cosmopolitan HOTEL.

However, I kind of wish they'd get bought out by someone who could redo their casino and player's club.

I really wanted to love this place. The rooms are a bit funky, but really cool with the balcony. Lots of cool things about this place.

Players Club is a big negative. They matched my then Plat, but really did not care about me at all. The original lounge was poor, but they made it worse by moving it where nobody could find it.

After two years of nobody being able to give me a straight answer on points, and no website, I gave up.

I dropped some serious money there and treated like crap. Can not imagine what lower level players get. As a result, we will donate plenty to MGM on our next trip.

Somebody they might get it. If MGM and CET were not so strapped, I think they would consider taking over this place. Maybe they are waiting for a fire sale.

the identity club is useless, just easier to have a host take care of it all at cosmo.

If you can get one to respond.

And he of course can not handle the lounge issue, which has now taken care of itself.

This is really not too surprising, the Cosmo at every turn has made it clear they have no idea how to handle a players club or higher end players at all

I gave up on them not long after they opened; I played craps there for probably 5-6 hours, rated at a $100+ average bet, and got exactly nothing for it. No discounted rooms, no promo emails, nothing. Maybe if I kept at it I'd get something, but that's gambling on top of gambling, and there's no reason to come back when I've got rooms at Mlife properties for free-to-cheap.

as a black jack player, I don't notice a difference.

I feel the comp levels are much easier to get a host/free rooms compared to Aria or Bellagio.

Its about the same as Mandalay Bay.

so if you like new, and can put up with that type of crowd then its the same.

If you don't mind an older property, mirage/nyny/Monte Carlo then your play at the same level will get you much further.

I have never stayed at Cosmo, but have played blackjack at Cosmo probably 4 times since it opened at the $100-$350 range. Probably have 10 hours in total. I have also played vp at the $1 level for 2 or 3 hours. Its been at least a year and a half since I have been in there. I checked my points on the Identity Club website and they had be down for 0. LOL! That program sucks. the vp sucks. The blackjack pretty much sucks. Remind why I should go there again...

Identity does suck, but if you haven't played in over a year, your points would reset to zero, no matter which Player's club you were with.

Yeah, thats right. But they still suck. Never received an offer for free or discounted anything. Nothing at all.

It is so odd because they are the only casino that takes care of me and my tiny action. I have been going 3-5 times a year playing mainly craps and PG, with some BJ thrown in. I usually bet $50-100 on PG and $60 and a progressive system on Craps. I have been getting 2 nights a month for the last year or better. I tend to gamble a lot across the road at the Planet Ho and I get nothing for that action not even a mailer.

I hear that. I've been receiving quarterly 2-night comped offers (Sun-Fri) regularly from Cosmo since my first visit a year and a half ago, and I'm a fairly low limit player. Lot's of $1 VP, and a little bit of $25 Craps and $25 BJ.

The terraces are what does it for me. Love being able to sit outside on my own private balcony overlooking the Strip. Especially for a nightcap and a smoke at the end of a long Vegas night!

I'm not going to argue that they have a clue with regards to courting gamblers (I've read way too many posts stating otherwise)...but put me in the same category as bluerider and throwbackid: for some reason, the small amount of play I've given them* has resulted in offers for 2-3 nights and usually a small amount of promo chips or f/b credit. Go figure.

*I've never played more than an hour/day there. It's usually ~$100-200 BJ, $150-200 craps (including odds) or $.25-$1 VP. When I give this type of play to other top-tier joints, it gets me the occasional Sun-Thur offers and casino rate on the weekends.

I'm one of the few that actually likes the vibe at cosmo. It is actually my favorite casino to gamble at. I play mostly UTH, which it dealt much better there than at Aria or Bellagio. I am only a green chip player on UTH, but I get monthly 2 night offers for any day of the week.

I played once, over two years ago. Still receiving free night offers.

I actually really like playing craps there, but not enough to justify how little I get back. I like it slightly more than I like Aria or Bellagio, and considering both of those places treat me reasonably well (if nothing else, I get discounted rooms), while Cosmopolitan offers me exactly zero, playing there is leaving too much change on the table.
