We have been making yearly trips to Vegas for over 20 years and really miss the old lounge shows where you could relax with a drink and listen to some great piano playing or maybe a small quartet or a little jazz. Do any of these lounges still exist on the Strip? We are going for a quick weekend in October to see Jimmy Buffet but would love to see something on Friday too. I don't care about cover charge...just want to relax and listen!
Yes. You can find a list of whats playing at lounges (as well as touring shows and resident shows) here: http://www.lvol.com/lvoleg/lvshows.html
If you like 50's rock and roll and country ballads there is a guy Friday and Saturday at South Point that is really good. Wes Winters is his name. Great little lounge area near the poker room
There is a very nice jazz duo/trio at the lounge near the front of Caesars. Was a thread about it recently.
A few left Here are a few locations: Small lounges with live acts at Paris Le Cabaret and Napolian Planet Hollywood Beligieo South Point Gold coast show room

Big Elvis interacts with his audience, invites them to participate in his show and performs their requests. 2pm - 6pm Every Mon. Tue, Thur. Fri. Free Entrance" At Harrah's. We enjoyed Big Elvis when he was at Barbary Coast, hoping to see him next month while we are at Harrah's.
I like the Orleans and Gold Coast for this. I just take the shuttle to both and have enjoyed several lounge bands at both.
+1 for the Orleans, they have some good bands, play a good mixture of music, soul/70,s 80,s etc. and there are always people on the dance floor. Ususally finishes up at 2 am, sometimes a little later on weekends from what I can remember.
