My who girlfriend works for LVMPD just texted me to say that they just found a dead newborn in one of the Planet Hollywood dumpsters...so sad. She said it's been a rough day at work today.

This "baby in the dumpster" thing seems to happens frequently in Las Vegas... it's disgusting. How can anyone hold such little regard for an innocent human life?

These people are criminals. If you're a mother and have an unwanted newborn, you can leave the newborn at the Hospital with no questions asked. That's why they are criminals by leaving it in the dumpster.

Wow I thought the "no questions asked" part sounded strange but you're right. Depends on the exact statute in each state but essentially that's it, called Safe Haven Laws.

Really interesting. Thanks for posting that. I wonder if the average girl at risk of doing something like this is made aware of this law so they might not do something so despicable to get rid of their baby.

It's sad. I've gotten cynical in my old age, so I am not shocked anymore by man's proverbial inhumanity to man.

Nobody can know why sick/evil people do what they do. All we can do is try to make up for it by being a little kinder to each other when we get the chance.

A poor, neglected, unloved baby lies dead in a dumpster. It's murderer walks among us; somewhere, someplace.

And I sit here and cry, knowing that there wasn't anything I could do...but wish I could....
