Well I have the Bolts (M/L) on the back-end of a two-team parlay with the Redskins... soooo... you see how well that's worked out for me!

I actually like the Colts. They play Payton at home next Sunday Night and he is similar in offense (a throwing vs. running / throwing) that has the Chargers running well. I would not think they (the Colts) would be looking ahead as the coach has already given them the "don't fall for the trap; trap game" lecture earlier in the year. And they listened.

IF the Colts are really a contender, these are the games (in my mind) going into next week's game that separates you from the pack and builds strongly from within the locker room. These games (winning on the road) validate the team for its eventual landing spot after the season has ended.

The Chargers beat Dallas but lost to Oakland so this is their opportunity as well to make a statement. But it is Phillip R. and he is like Tony R. in many respects....WHEN is he going to do it? each game.....every time the ball is in the air it seems 50 / 50.....

We will see....I would think it is going to be a very good game.

I have no idea who is going to win.
That being said it is a natural letdown spot for the Colts.
Coming off a huge emotional win, having to travel and then having another huge emotional game against Denver.

Colts should pull out a win by a fg here. I went with the Colts over in my open parlay. Halftime and props might be better bets though. We'll see

    Open 10 Team Parlay
Pending 10/14/13 8:40pm NFL Football 229 Indianapolis Colts Over 25 -110* vs San Diego Chargers
Pending 10/14/13 8:05pm MLB Baseball 910 Los Angeles Dodgers +110* vs St. Louis Cardinals (A Wainwright - R must Start H Ryu - L must Start)

Indy. SD IMHO has been overrated/underachievers for years( but mainly in the playoffs).

I like the Colts and, maybe, the over. The SD defense just can't stop anyone. I could see the game turning into a second half shootout, which is why I like the over as well (I envision SD throwing a lot to catch up)

I think Colts will win. SD defense sucks.

The Giants have lost 11 of their last 14 games (or something close to that) and of course, have yet to chalk one up in the win column this year. Hard to believe they can't take out the Vikings, who still play merry-go-round at QB... but these days I just don't know??? I'm taking the Giants @ home.

I jumped on the -3 and some juice when it popped up.
Vikings back 4 are a disaster.
Vikings may roll over sometime soon.

I took the Giants at -3.5. Of course keep in mind I also had Denver & Chicago yesterday. I also had the Pack at -9.5.

Early, bet-able lines posted on my on line site:
    49ers -16.5
    Lions -3
    Chiefs -7
    Saints -11.5
    Bengals -6.5
    That's it for now.

Just a question about sports betting ..
If you just bet a team straight up to win and don't take the points or spread do you win more or less ? Lets just say I put $ 50 on the chargers, and they win, what would I win ?
Thanks, as you can tell I don't know about sports betting .....

Depends on what the money line is... The chargers last week were -7.5 favs and -310 on the money line so you would have to bet 310 to win 100 or in your case bet 155 to win 50.

    Hope this helps

The Bears have lost too many folks on defense and of course, are starting one of the McNown's, McClown's... whoever at QB... I'm taking Packers and swallowing the 10.

But then I also took Houston M/L last night and wanted to cash-in after the first quarter... not so fast...

I'm not a big fan of double digit favorites in the NFL. Especially not when it's a decent opponent. No matter who Chicago trots out at QB, they have a solid football team that's no pushover. Hell they almost won a SB with Rex Grossman!

There is a lot of parity in the NFL, and for the most part even the bad teams are within 10 points even in games they lose (Jax may be the exception here). Out of 13 games this weekend in the NFL, only 3 were decided by more than 10 points. I like the Packers, but I'm not sure they cover (-11 in my book).
