    My Trip Report

Well I'm reporting live from the sun deck a PHo since that's about all there's left to do.

Flight from NJ was uneventful, a little late but nothing major.

After agonizing on which mode of transportation to tak Ie I decided to cab it. I'm usually not very assertive however after getting tunneled last trip I was having none of that. So when I apologized if I sounded Bi like but told him the exact route I wanted. It was just better for us both that way. Once we got that out of the way it was all good.

When I got to my room I realized I left my phone charger in car at airport.

I have to say this has been my worst ever gaming trip and I mean EVER!

I guess I have been very fortunate, the previous 5 trips have sent me home with more than I brought. Granted not huge amounts but ahead. Oh not this time:(

On a positive the only successful wagers came from coupons used from ACG ( which I learned about from you all)

I did make it to 777 and had the crab artichoke dip, which believe it or not, has been the only meal" I've eaten since Sunday night. I swear I'm the only person I know that comes to Vegas and loses weight. Also toured the Neon Boneyard they do a nice job, but I wonder could they find nowhere else, it sure is sketchy over there.

I also went to the Cirque MJ show last night, it was really a great production. Imagine my surprise when I got back to my room to find my door open( and I'm here solo) well I learned a lesson, make sure the door actually closes entirely. What a fool.

Of course if someone did go in and take my money, well at least there would be an explanation for my empty wallet:(

Well now I need a drink and phone is about to die so until tomorrow..
    :rolleyes2:

Always super important to make sure you door is closed all the way. I once heard a sound outside my Suite at Cosmo and looked out the peephole to see her trying to open random doors across the hall. Much to my surprise, she did the same to my room as i was standing there looking out. I opened the door and confronted her, she then propositioned me lol

I called security and they dealt with it. It happens all the time they say. Either way, lesson learned.

MAKE SURE YOUR DOOR IS CLOSED AND LOCKED.
IF IM NOT 100% SURE, I GO BACK.

I should have been specific the ticket was a b- day gift. And it's not that I won't pay for eating it's more that I'm gaming and taking in the sights, sort of just forget to eat:) and drinking it's something I so rarely do it just seems right here in Vegas!

No phone charger but continue to gamble? A charger would only set you back $30. Worse comes to worse, get one from the Best Buy express machine. Use it and return it ...if you realize it doesn't do as good of a job as your charger at home ;)

I forget to eat in Vegas all the time and all the best food in the world is free. You know that's why they don't have clocks and no windows etc etc. Your body can't figure out what time it is and it loses basic functions like being able to tell you you're hungry or whatever.

Half of me was tempted, ok 49% was tempted to forget about the charger) but the 51% won out and I got one for about 15. from Walgreens.

    I'm not that degenerate.......yet:wink2:

Happygirl, go to the front desk and ask for a cell phone charger. It's almost guaranteed they'll have one if you use a common phone. They have tons of them that people leave in their rooms. I've borrowed from them numerous times.

Sucks about the gambling. It's worst when it happens like that on solo trips. I know what you mean about not eating. It's easy to inadvertently do when you're solo. But try to go have a nice slow meal and then take in the strip and all that good stuff.

Wish I could forget about eating in Vegas, but hubby sure won't let me! I'd spend every waking moment at the machines if I could. Total degenerate.

So sorry it hasn't been a good trip for you. Hope you have a much better time next trip.

It may not help you now, but I have heard that sometimes the lost and found or the bell desk may have a ton of old chargers left behind by previous guests. And most times, they just give them over for nothing more than a tip.

Sorry this was a rough trip. Been there myself and had to find other interesting things to do :)

I had never thought of that. I was going to suggest the nearest Walgreens. :) That is a great tip! Thanks for sharing that. (you too, Scott, but KC was first)

Sorry for the crappy trip, Happygirl. Like I said, we all have them. You learned some good lessons and thanks for sharing them here. It will help someone.

One of the things I love about Vegas is that even when my gaming budget is gone, I can entertain myself with a few cocktails and just wandering around watching people.

On a positive note, your next trip will be better. :wink2:

Well that sucks. Seems all the TRs in the past few days haven't been winning ones. Grab a banana or two to avoid that epic hangover in the morning. Drinking on an empty stomach will catch up to you then.

    Happy Girl,

Chin up! Sometimes this happens. I love this boards and use it as as a psychiatrist when needed. We gamble with what we are willing to lose. The good news is that you did not mention the ATM which is fantastic!

As Sonya mentioned when the bankroll is depleted there are many many many other things to do in Vegas which does not cost any $$$$. So don't make this misfortune ruin your trip and happiness

Not all trips are winning ones and when they are then the better.

Take advantage of the pools and make some friends. Vegas has the most friendly people from all walks of life.

Also when my bankroll is running low, I play with lower bets and have just as much fun and you could get lucky with a surprise outcome.

Enjoy yourself and maybe your next trip will be a little luckier for you. That is what we need to win as luck is what it is all about

Also, fellow members don't kick her when she is down. I'm sure that she is eating and keeping healthy

Like Shifter said, I too sometimes eat once a day in Vegas when I'm with my gambling buddies and I'm a big guy weighing 250 lbs. I do however eat three meals a day when I go to vegas with my family.

Enjoy yourself and forget what happend in the past

    Cheers

Sorry for the grammatical error as I'm typing this on my phone while watching survivor

Also thanks to the member who mentioned that charges may be available at the desk as I never thought of that

This board is amazing for getting useful information

Cheers and be happy again )

Thanks for the charger idea, that never even crossed my mind;)

And I'm glad to see I'm not the only " food forgetter ".
I know spice market has had many I mixed reviews, but I wanted to try it ( plus ACG had a 25% off I'll get it cleared off room charge tomorrow) I honestly didn't think it was to bad, aside from the crab legs being a bit dry everything was ok. Granted I don't have much to compare it to other the Harahs once... so....Oops I'm lying I went to Bacchanal also. Which was awesome...

This board is really fantastic and I have really been enjoying all the ideas and suggestions!

i lost fast at the casino last weekend too. i didnt take too much money so that was the only silver lining. im glad i didnt hit the atm. its better if you dont chase it because you can loose more then you will think the amount you were down before you chased wasnt too bad but now your down a lot more.

in tunica there isnt anything else to do so i was bored and left early. but in vegas you have a lot of activities. you can have drinks at the bars and talk to people or see some show(i reccomend comedy) is easy to do and not expensive either. your next trip will be better and i hope you'll be a happygirl again very soon.

The part about you returning and finding your door open. Scary. Next time make sure the door clicks and try jiggling it to make sure it's closed.

Takes 2.36 seconds. Well worth the time.:thumbsup:
