Each trip to Vegas I take $200 and play $5 at $10/$15 per pull. Haven't had much luck so far. Any recommendations for a $5 slot and/or location you've had better-than-average luck playing them?

I've hit at Red Rock in their high limit area quite a few times. They also have a separate area with high limit tables where I have hit on the "pinball" slot several times as well. Good luck!

The $5 2-credit Top Dollar machines. The ones at Aria were good to me. I dropped in a random hundred whenever I walked by them and hit the bonus within a few spins a bunch of times. They were near the mlife desk IIRC, not in the high limit area.

I had some good luck at Luxor, at the Instant Spin machines, and Top Dollar. :)

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. Will keep these all in mind for my trip in a few weeks.

I've tried a number of different $5 slots over the years, but have never really came out ahead by a significant number. About 2 years ago while playing a machine (it was like 3x4x5 or something similar) I walked away $300 up, but that was about it.

I played one spin at a $100 machine years ago, got my money back and have hardly played any slots since.

I've played several 3x4x5 type games like; $5 WOF or $1 Hot Roll. They are good too!

your problem isn't the slot you're picking, but that you're only playing with $200. 10-15 spins isn't going to get you anywhere.

I have some results with $5 Double-Gold machines (2 coins), and my biggest slot win ($900) was on a $1 (3 coins), Triple-gold, 3 red-7s with Triple. I also found a 5 reel machine with a bunch of 7s and bars on the reels, $9 a spin and hit for many hundreds on that. The $6 Pinball (with the big video machine above) has given good results a few times.

But I've also sat down to the Double-Gold and coughed up $500 in short order.

One time we were a little drunk, and my friend put a $20 in a $5 machine at TI, and won $450 on the first spin haha. I mean, he got like one of those 5x pay and a cherry and that was $450...

I've done it a bunch of times, but never any luck! It's HUGE rush to do it though lol. Love it.

If you pool together for $200, skip the $5 machines and go straight to the $100 for a single max bet. Any win will be a handpay. Besides, would you rather be disappointed 13 times, or just once;)

My last Foxwoods visit, I was eyeing a single $100 machine for a few minutes, until I decided to lose $300 in a $5 Top Dollar machine instead.

One of these days, I will simply end the misery sooner. But hell, a single cherry on the payout line will be enough to get my heart racing!

After a handful of trips playing mainly $1 slots and not getting any love from the casinos I started playing the $5 Slots and the offers started pouring in.
Maybe it's because of the amount I "cycled" through the machines that first time that made them take notice of me. Who knows. $5 games can be a rush!

You get more comps for higher denomination slots? I didn't even know that..

So if we switch to dollar slots over penny ones, we'll probably get more comps? I love my penny slots, but we never seem to win much.
