how are yall, im going to las vegas 1-9-14 thru 1-13-14 and I look up reviews all day to prepare myself for everything i want to do and all the scenarios possible. everything looks promising so far expect the nightlife. I know you cant go off all reviews but the were pretty much consistent. Most of them say they highly recommand a vip club package because without that with 3 dudes with no getting in anywhere. Does anyone have any personal experiance or advice on how i should go about the nightlife aspect of my trip. i dont want to be spending 100 a night to get in a club each night or if we club hop. also drinks wise, i dont want to be spending all my money just on clubs and drinks. any input would be great thanks

clubbing is expensive for dudes. you either get a table and it's really expensive or you don't and you pay covers and grease doormen and pay for outrageously priced drinks and it's still expensive. if you know the right people you can get certain things done for cheaper, but just the fact that you think that $100/night is too much, you're way out of your league. $100 in Vegas is like $1 everywhere else.

you dont need to spend 100 a night to get into any club. the cover for top clubs is 30-50 usually and less. you dont need to grease anyone unless you go at a busy time and dont want to wait. the longest my buddy and i waited was around half hour for hakassan. if you go early or late you dont have to wait too long. i think you could say we each spent less then 150 total with drinks each night and that is with buying some drinks for girls. if you take table service you will have to spent a lot. remember to pregame! :drunk:

ignore the bouncers or promoters who walk up and tell you they can get you in. they are just asking money for something you dont need to pay for. go onto the website for the clubs and put your name in the guestlist. it is free to do. then you can stand in the guestlist line which is a little faster then the normal line.

just have fun and enjoy and try to meet girls. tip is to go early when there are more girls and small lines. later on there are longer lines and less girls.

Well depends on what you want to do.

Where are you staying? What is your budget? How old are you? Etc. etc.

Unfortunately you will be there during one of the busiest times of the year. The annual CES convention will be 1/7 through 1/10/14 so expect 1/9 and 1/10 to be very busy, maybe even 1/11.

I think they estimated over 125k people there for the convention in a previous year so most hotels will be packed and probably the clubs also. If you go clubbing you may want to go early (or much later). I am also not sure if the VIP packages will be more expensive during that time.

1/12/14 (sunday) shouldn't be too bad as most of the conventioneers will probably be leaving that day but then the clubs may not be too busy or even closed on sunday night.

Sorry, while I will be there during that time, I usually avoid the clubs and the strip as much as possible. too much of a nut house, IMHO.

coorect admission will be 30 -50$ but if you plan on drinking 100$ wont work.

100$ is nothing for going out in vegas.

also 3 guys split up go as single guys you will get in much easier.

also dress nice and kiss ass and u will be fine

your best bang for your no money is a club crawl

I'm not gambling over 200 (don't even know how to play any games). 1000 it's not including the driving experience with is 350 and 1000 is just cash wise. Besides restaurants and clubs ( which I don't think we will do more then 3) what else do you y'all spend the most of besides the misc (cabs souvenirs museums)

i am going to disagree with my fellow posters and say 1000 is ok if it doesnt count your hotel, gambling and driving tour. i am around the same age and i get my room comped and some food comped but i dont spend that much altogether(not incl gambling!). vegas is the kind of place if you bring 500 you will spend 500, if you bring 5000 you will spend 5000. you can still have fun which ever way.

everyone pregames for the clubs so its good you are doing that. in line you will see people are already drunk and a lot of people are high, i guess ecstesy but im not a drug expert. drinks can be expensive but i drink beer which i think were $12 + tip, i bought a redbull vodka for a girl that i think was 16 or 18 +tip. but i still drank 4 or 5 beers which is not bad i would drink more but the bars get crowded. they charge a lot for water tho, almost 10$ and it sux because its hot and there are a lot of stairs. i think water is where they make the most money! :grrr: but some people said at the bar they were able to just get a glass of water for free when they bought a drink so try that.

food is expensive if you want it to be expensive or its not too bad. i just go with buddies so sometimes we have a nice steak but usualy we just eat cheap like burgers, pizza, earl of sandwich there is also a lot of burrito places. money goes fast in strip clubs and i admit i used the strip club atm more then once.

if you want to gamble a lot you need more money but without gambling or hotel i dont spend more than 1000 and i have an amazing time.

People have mentioned that CES and AVN are right around that time. Vegas usually has 150,000 to 200,000 people in town, but due to the busy weekend im thinking over 300,000 people. Clubs will be a little more packed. Hakkasan, light and MArquee are the top clubs right now, with entry from $30-100 depending on what time you get there and how you want to get in. Pure, Tao, Tryst, Body English, LAX, XS, 1 OAK, Chateau, The Act and others will run $20-$50 also depending on what time you get there and if you want to bypass line or wait. Me personally if your not into EDM and on a budget I would say Pure or Foundation Room are great places to go. Any club drinks average $15. There are places to preparty like Dicks Last Resort, Rockhouse but you can always start at Treasures, Rhino or Sapphire. Strip clubs depending on what your looking at, but you can get bottles for $350 and get free transportation.

Too true. I can get by on $300-400 a day if I'm getting drinks while gambling and buying a few cocktails but I don't go clubbing because I know I could blow $1,000 in a few hours easily.

Sure, it could be done cheaper but what is the point of going to a top club if you have to watch what you spend all the time?

your estimates are too high. you dont need to spend 1000 to have fun in fact not even if you have a table unless your paying for your friends. for example the second night me and my friend went to hakassan we were with 3 girls. a promoter came to us in line and my friend was drunk and they talked about a table for 1500 for all 5 of us. that is only 300 each before tax + tip but i knew only me and my friend would pay so it would be 1000 each after tax+tip plus he prolly wanted a tip, so i said no especialy because the girls werent too great anyway and i'd rather save 1000 for gambling. it only took us another half hour to get inside.

i will also say i think you can have fun waiting in line if you are trying to meet girls because you can meet them outside easier then inside where its loud, dark and crowded. outside you can talk and then you already know them when your inside. i saw so many guys standing right next to girls in line and never talking to them. im shy too but if you cant talk to them while your both in line it will be harder in the club.

second thing is people say if you have a table the bouncer will bring girls to your table. but girls arent slaves in america so they dont have to go if they dont want to or they can go and take your drinks and leave. i told a girl about that and she looked at me like i was crazy, saying she would never follow a bouncer to a table of strangers. good for you if girls come to your table and stay with you but i can tell you that i saw a lot of tables with only a group of guys without any girls except for there waitress. so they spent a lot of money to sit and drink with there friends on couches liek they do at home. :Þ

i def spent less then 200 each night and i didnt try being cheap. i drank beers when i wanted. the only thing i was cheap about was water but it was 9$ for a little bottle because they know people are thirsty. so when i was thirsty i just had another beer for $12 instead

if a table is the only way you have fun then you need to spend more especialy if your paying for your friends or if you bring girls with you that you pay for. but if you are with a small group of guy friends i would say dont bother. just go in and enjoy if you dont like it you can leave,if you buy a table you cant leave without paying your minimum.

the main thing is knowing how to talk to girls. some of my friends are pros. if you dont know how to talk to girls you can spend $5000 and not meet a girl if your a pro you can spend $100 and get a bunch of numbers. trust me i've seen buddies of mine who dont even have jobs or money do it! :peace:
